Chapter 29: Raili

RAILI

Danika, Cheska and I walked up to the Infirmary, rubbing our eyes and yawning ocassionally. I woke both of them up after promising to visit Nico today.

Addonia, who had been walking along the camp yesterday agreed to take care of Nico for the night. She woke me up early in the morning saying Nico was fine, and that the pain in his heart was just the potion, and he was just healing from it.

When we stopped, i shouted with rage. Lourdes just came out of the Infirmary, she had a huge grin on her face. I stomped towards her, blocking her way.

"What do you think your doing?" i asked, gritting my teeth.

"Oh, me? I was just visiting Nico, he left not long after." she said innocently.

"What did you do, Lourdes!?"

"I did nothing. I just told him the truth, thats all. Now, get out of my way."

Reluctantly, i gave way for her. Only moments later had i realized she had charmspeaked me.

I opened the door to find Danika, Cheska, Margaret and Marielle inside. When Marielle saw me, she leaped towards me and from her expression, i knew it was bad news.

"Raili! Lourdes charmspelled  Nico!" she shouted.

I gave her a look. What in the world was charmspelled? But i knew exactly what she meant. I sighed, then prayed to Dionysus.

"Marielle... ITS CHARMSPEAK!" i screamed,

"Oh..." she said, then laughed.

I twitched. Oh? OH!?

"What did the clown tell you?" Danika asked, prefering to Lourdes.

"Nothing..."

We all gave worried expressions, except for Danika. Im starting to think they really do  hate each other.

I knocked on the Hades' cabin. I was alone, i wanted to be. I told the others i wanted to deal with my problem alone.

Seconds later, Katherine opened the door. Once she knew it was me, she tried slamming the door, but she couldnt. Before she could close it, i blocked it with my foot. Yeah, it hurt, but i didnt really mind. I pushed the door and Katherine backed up. She knew why i was here, so i didnt need to ask.

"Nico left, he said he didnt want to be here any longer. His reasons? Getting as far away as possible from you." she said, totally pokerfaced.

"Charmspeak..." i said.

"What?"

"Nothing. Its just... charmspeak. Lourdes talked to Nico before i got the chance. She convince him that he doesnt need me."

She blinked, but not of amazement.

"Too bad," she said, "It would have been amazing if it werent charmspeak."

I gritted my teeth, this girl was a real pain.

"Where exactly did he go?" i asked.

She looked at me, amazed i didnt give up.

"Las Vegas. Dad's. But of course, you'll never be able to go out of the campus. Chiron would want a valid reason, and im sure love wasnt one."

Not knowing why i did it, i ran out the door.

"Hey, where do you think youre going?" Kathering called out.

"Las Vegas!"
