"Brother~!! I'm going to Japan's house," you told your brother Canada as you began putting on your shoes to leave.
"Wh-what?! But Japan's house is so far away, are you sure? Do you want me to come with you?" He asked you worriedly as he hurried into the hallway with Kumajirou in his arms.
A reassuring smile curved your lips, "Don't worry so much brother. I've gone to Japan's house many times, remember?" He visibly relaxed but you continued, "And I have Shiya with me." You motioned to your furry Spirit Bear companion. Hearing her name, she responded with a soft rumble.
Your brother was now at ease, "Right, sorry _____... I keep forgetting." His voice was as soft as his smile.
You smiled at him. He always responded in such a way whenever you're about to leave. It didn't matter where it was or how many times you'd had been there. He simply was always worried; however, you didn't think it was bothersome in the least... you thought it was very kind of him to worry about you so much.
After securing your bag strap around your shoulder, you slipped on your homemade gloves and scarf and looked behind you to my brother, "Well, I'll be off now, Big Brother Matt! See you soon~!" You said this as you ran up to him, gave him a quick hug and went outside.
"Bye." You heard your brother's low voice say as you shut the door. You were met with a wind that softly brushed your h/c locks to the side. You let out a content breath and began your jounrey to Japan's house with Shiya at your heels.
"Honda-kuuuuuuuun~! I need help, onegaishimasu!" You said as you arrived at his house, using one of the Japanese words he had taught you.
Japan cracked open his door; which allowed only a fifth of his face to be seen, "______-chan? What do you need help with?"
You pouted, "Honda-kun, I need help with this game," you said as you took out the videogame case from your bag to show him.
"Honto? Just a videogame? How can I help?" He asked while sliding the door completely open.
You looked at the videogame case, "Well, I can't figure out how to pass this one level..." You returned my e/c eyed gaze to his brown-eyed one, "Help me, pleeaaase?"
His dark eyebrows knitted together, "You came all the way from North America because of a videogame..." He sighed, shaking his head at you.
Your shoulders slumped, "D-demo, I thought we were friends..." You felt my eyes sting with the emergence of tears, "I just wanted... t-to see... y-... you."
Japan became alarmed, "Ah! _____-chan, do not get upset! I didn't mean anything by it!"
You sniffled, somewhat calmed down, and looked at him with slightly teary eyes, "Are we friends?"
A small smile gently curved his lips, "Hai, of course." He nodded for further emphasis.
You smiled as you wiped away your tears with the edge of your sleeve, "Arigatou, Honda-kun. Bu-... but, um..." You shifted uncomfortably as your nervousness took over.
You began fiddling with the videogame case as Japan asked with a confused look, "What is it, _____-chan?"
"Well, I was wondering... since we've gotten closer 'n all... um," You gulped down your nervousness and continued, "If I could address you as Kiku-kun now..." you drifted off out of uncertainty.
His eyes clearly displayed his surprise, "We-... Well," and he cleared his throat before looking to the side," I suppose... it is alright."
A grin spread your lips, "Yay~! Thank you so much, Kiku-kun! That means you can call me _____-chan in return, 'kay?" In all of my happiness, you hugged him before realizing that he may not appreciate that. "Oops! Gomen Kiku-kun, I forgot you don't like being hugged."
