E/c eyes are wide as you stare at the familiar figure that reflected the same look of shock that filled your own features. Your body was frozen and you couldn't seem to move. You didn't dare let any sound or form of a word leave your parted lips. You were paralyzed, flabbergasted, all natural thought process ceased to function as you took in the situation.
He...he was alive?
This could just be another hallucination, your grieving mind playing tricks on you. Right? You doubted the thought yet...here he was, standing in front of you right now.
No...the way he said your name, the way his violet eyes, the same violet eyes you missed so much, the ones you thought were gone from your sight forever, were staring back into yours.
His presence, the atmosphere he created it captivated you; he was really here. Your emotions were sent into overdrive you, you felt everything at once and it was unbearable: pain, love, happiness, anger, frustration, disbelief. It was too overwhelming.
His dark curly hair, it still looked the same as when he left, and the small beauty mark below the corner of his lip was still in the same place you remember. Swallowing the lump in your throat you try to for a sentence.
"R-Ro...Roderick...?" His name sounded so foreign on your quivering lips, likeit's been centuries since you spoke it. "Y-you...you...is that-are you-" you couldn't find the words as your voice broke. Tears burned the back of your eyes as you tried to blink them away.
"________....h-how are you here?" At that moment a feeling of pain and hurt washed over your being and before you knew it you were in a flash over to him. Your body moved on its own and you were now in front of him, breathing hard and hand in mid air; his face was to the right now and an already darkening hand mark was blazing his fair skin. Hot tears were streaming down your rosy cheeks, dripping onto the ebony wood floor rapidly.
It was silent again just like a few minutes before. "Is that really what you say the first time I see you, you jerk!" He gaped at your outburst stunned that you slapped him, knowing you were one to never needn't go to that extent with him.
You glared up at him through blurry vision as you clench your fists tightly, nails digging into your skin. "I thought...I thought you were dead! I had received notice that you'd gone missing in the middle of war and that's what you say to me!" You exclaimed.
"I was devastated and worried about you. I...I tried so hard to not believe it but...." You went silent, suddenly feeling a wave of exhaustion wave over you. "I-I...I thought I'd lost you..." You were now a sputtering sobbing mess, clutching yourself as if you'd fall apart if you let go. The Austrian man stared down at you with regret and remorse; he felt horrible about putting you through so much pain.
In almost an instant you were wrapped in his arms, gripping at his shirt desperately. The cloth was immediately dampened with tears as you buried your face into his chest. With each inhale you took his scent calmingly filled you with nostalgia from the earlier days in memory.
After a while ached sobs and shaking bodies simmered down into hushed sniffling and hands gripping for dear life.
Silence was the only sound in the room now. You hesitantly looked up towards Roderick, who smiled sadly at you whilst brushing loose strands of hair from your face. "_______, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it like that," he cupped your face in his hands and looked into your eyes deeply. "I was just surprised, I didn't think that I would see you so soon. I was planning on coming back home after I was fully recovered..."
You looked at him questioningly and he brought a hand to his shirt and raised it enough for you to catch a glimpse of his bandaged torso. You said nothing as your hand gently caressed the shown area.
"I was injured but managed to get away from the battle field, after that I tried distancing my self but I put a great strain on my body and I eventually passed out. When I woke up I found myself in a bed; Turns out one of the people of this estate found me on a road and Eliza had been taking care of my wounds."
You were silent for a few moments before returning your gaze to his again. "I'm so glad you're okay...I missed you." You whispered. He pulled you closer his face hid away in your h/l h/c locks. "I missed you too. I made a promise didnt I?"
A smile that you couldn't resist stretched across your lips and you hugged him tighter. Pulling away once more, your hand finds his cheek and you rub your fingers gingerly across the mark on his cheek. "I'm sorry..." He just smiled at you and shook his head. "No, I deserved it for making you worry so much."
You couldn't help but smile meekly at his humbleness. Comfortable silence settled into the atmosphere now that is until the dark hair male decided to break it. "I've been wanting to telling you something now for a long time. I should've said something then but I..." He bit his lips as he averted his gaze. Your curiosity was burning and you were eager to find out what he was about to say.
"What is it...?" His cheeks gained a pink hue to them as he finally looked back to your e/c orbs. "You're all that I thought about when I was away, the only reason I kept fighting. You were something that I had to come back to so I never faltered; just to see you again, to hear you. You're the reason that I'm alive right now," he spoke with a strange tone a voice that he never used with you before.
His violet eyes burned with a passion and it seemed that they glowed brighter than before. Was this....was he confessing to you? Is that why...
-'I remember the day you left, the day you were going to leave me and my burning love for you behind'
Your eyes widened and you could feel your ears burn. Is this what you've been waiting for? This moment? All your life that you knew him, each and everyday you knew you loved him.
"I....I love you _______ _______, I always have and I always will."mass soon as the words left his lips you hung onto every word replaying them in your head. Finally together again you hear the word you've been dying to say for so long.
Now that it's said you didn't know what to do now. Seeing that his lips were already on yours already you didn't need to say nothing. His lips felt warm and soft against yours and you just melted wrapping your arms around him.
"I love you too, ever since we were kids." You murmured softly. "I was going to confess when you came back from the war." You looked up at him and he smiled at you resting his forehead against yours.
He embraced you and at the very moment the only thing you could think of was that you had him back, Roderick-you're roderick, he was with you now and you couldn't want anything more.
A/N: IM BACK GUYS!!!! IM NOT DEAD!!! I MISSED YOU TAKU ARMY, I HOPE YOU MISSED ME?! :D (though I'm pretty sure some of you want to kill me for being gone and not updating heh....^-^' sorry bout that) anywhores this is the last part of the you promised series. Wow we've come so far huh? It's kinda sad yet relieving that it ended, after all I've been with this series since I first started this book....IVE COME SO FAAAR TO LOOSSSEE IT ALLLL BUT IN THE ENND IT DOESNT EVEN MAAAAAATTTTTEERRRRR ( To all the linkin park fans XD) so I'm on spring break and You know what that means. More updating!!! I'm still working on that Germany one shot (it got deleted) but I've written a Prussia one shot on paper during my classes that I'm almost finished (left it at my friends house yesterday, I'm a dumbass yea I know ;_;) with but there are other ones that I'm working on as well I haven't been able to work on them as much as I want to which saddens me especially after all the typing I to only to get....erased.....-____- (?!&@&!%#?!~%) but yea I'll (try) be updating for the rest of the week to make up for my absences.
