It's been almost a full year since you were tragically ripped from the phenomenon of existing beside your favorite character. At first you had assumed it to be a dream: an elusive, vivid dream; but everything felt so real. The way the grass felt beneath you when you first woke up in the field, the sun on your skin, the way his hand held onto yours. The way his lips felt warm when he kissed you; the tingly sensation still evident on your forehead when you think about it.
All of it felt real; it felt undeniably real.
Until you woke up.
You searched the internet looking to see if there were any similar happening, someone you could talk to about your experience or the very least ask. The only results you seems to come across were entries from people tripping off LSD and theories on forums and fan sites.
Everything led to a dead end.
You even talked to your friends about it, carefully explaining everything that happened. At first, they just thought you were having one of those lucid dreams and the day you spent with the fictional character was just you being an obsessed fan. The more you pressed on about it the more they didn't understand and just heard a bunch of gibberish coming from you, but you knew it was real. It happened; you were there. It wasn't a dream!
It was real...right?
Maybe you were going crazy.
Months later, after all of the disappointments and simply seeming failed attempts to return, you gave up. Now here you were, laying in bed with nothing to do that pick at your nails, mindlessly scrolling through tumblr. Pretty much your typical uneventful Saturday. Your TV was on but only to serve as background noise in your otherwise quiet room. Occasionally you would glance up if anything particularly peak your interest but ultimately didn't pay attention to it.
You were the only one in the house and were never one to be the paranoid type when it came to being home alone; to be honest you were too lazy to get up and press the button to turn it off, seeing as you lose the remote a while ago. You called your mom a few minutes ago with the request for Subway since were hungry but she wouldn't get off of work for another hour so you were left in the house with other food you had to get up and actually make for yourself.
Why can't the age of robots dawn sooner? Send me someone from Cyberlife...
You groaned and pouted as another helpless rumble erupted from your stomach.
I wish I had a maid...
With that thought your eyes roamed your wall of numerous anime posters, specifically for a tall, devilishly handsome man dressed to the nines—impressively pouring a long stream of tea into its cup no problem.
Or a butler...
Suddenly images of seeing different characters in classic butler attire catering to your every command flashed through your mind.
"Oh yea...I could definitely get used to that."
Your stomach cried out in hunger and you decided that just laying in bed wouldn't magically feed you. Never in your life had you ever considered wanting to be a plant until now. At least you'd have everything you need from Mother Nature to thrive— alas you were but a anthropomorphic meat sack in need of nourishment.
