The dark experiment (#Wattys2017)

chapter 2

After what seemed like hours of walking, I could see the small rooftop of the hide out in the distance. And after another hour I was standing outside the front door.

"place your hand on the pad for clearance" a small area of the door lifted up to reveal a pad. I changed the wiring for it so It would think one of my creators placed there hand on it. There was a click and the door opened to show a normal house.... Well a normal house to any normal person but if you pressed the right button, guns,knives, grenades, anything a fighter could think of appeared to my disposal.  I grabbed the nearest gun and spun around.

"You knew I would escape, so you sent someone to follow me. How stupid" 

"how did you know"  It was the same guy from earlier the ow guy. I had noticed he was following me after a minute and decided to see what he knew before I killed him.  To see if he knew about my mother.

Flashback
The first year of my life was as normal as you can get. I looked at my mother while I was cradled in her arms. Her bright blue eyes and brown hair. Short. We were in a hospital bed. 

"ahh my beautiful angel Athena" her words were like a melody to me, sweet and soft. She sang to me like she always did but this time men in uniform came barging in and pulled me from my mother's arms.

"it's time"

"noooo you can't take her, she's too young"  all that filled the room that night were my mother's cries for help and my tears. I was taken away and the last thing I saw of my mother was them holding her and shouting.

Flashback end

"I could sense you, smell you in fact" I stated I was getting very annoyed by the minute. I was about to pull the trigger when I heard a faint whooshing from outside that could only mean one thing.... Helicopters. 

"You bastard" I shouted and grabbed as many weapons as I could. I could kill 50 at most but I needed a plan they were at least 5 minutes away. Perfect.

"what are you.....AHHHHH"
I looked down at his blooded leg.

"that's for bringing them here"
Time for a hidden attack I said to myself.

Flashback

"now Athena, today's training will be hidden attack, you will use the weapons you have around you to trick the enemy and kill them without them seeing you"

I nodded my head. I had in front of me was wire, guns some knives and a blow torch. I got to work. I tied one gun to the door, more to the windows I then created a mechanism that would allow the blow torch to fall from the ceiling and trip wire around the area. The house I was in was small and compact so there didn't look like there were many places to hide but.....to me this was a great place, with many areas to hide.

"your 5 minutes are up Athena, we're sending them in"

BANG!
I heard the heavy footprints of 15 men. Well 14 now. The faint whispering of the men alerted me on there positions and we're they would strike.

"I think she's in BANG!"
13 men left.....12....11.....10....9...8. I kept hidden until there were two left the stench  of death and fresh blood filled my nose. I jumped out from my safe spot and plunged the knife I held in my hand into the guys heart and kicked the other one. He stumbled back until he hit my trip wire and the blow torch came down killing him.  His screams filling my ears but I didn't even shuffle.  you would think I was a monster and I believed I was a monster.
