Chapter One

Aubrey's P.O.V

"Stop. Bahahha. Stop. Please. Seriously Jake stop my stomachs hurting."

I laughed as my 18yr old aka 6yr old boyfriend was continuously tickling me.

"You sure you've had enough?", he chuckled

"Yes yes I promise, now please get off of me", I begged with a sore tummy.

"Alrighty", he said as he got off me and plopped into our bed to continue watching the movie we were watching.

It was three weeks now that I've moved out from home and into this apartment with Jake, and I was finally adjusting to things.

Beep Beep Beep.

"Ugh seriously? Not again", I groaned

"I'm sorry babe, Today must be a busy day", he sighed

"But this is like the 3rd time this week they've called you in twice in a day" "Every day must be busy" I complained

"I know I know I'm sorry, but I promise I'll be quick, & how about I even make it up to you tonight?" He said lightly pressing his lips against mine.

"Fine, but please make it quick, I have to go to work in a few hours"

"I'll try, love you, see you later", he said grabbing his things and rushing out the door

My boyfriend is a uber. Yeah I'm happy and all that he finally has a job, but our car sees him more than I do & its kinda annoying. And not to mention I have to sometimes walk to work, which is not that far, but still I'd rather be riding.

Anyways my job isn't special at all, I work at a diner. Moving to California hasn't been the brightest thing right now, but I know things will turn upside down. I just needed to get out of Arizona, and AWAY from my parents. They don't think I'll stand a chance, but boy am I gonna prove them wrong.

Later on that day

It was 7:00pm now, and I had to be at the diner in 30 minutes. I guess me and Jake would have to just see each other tonight.

I grab my uniform and hop in the shower. I let the cool crisp water soak into my now damp brunette locks. It felt as if my head was being refreshed.

After the shower I quickly blow dry my hair and put it into a bun, then apply a light coat of make up; mascara & blush, and head to the kitchen.

It was about 7:20 and I was going to be late so I just grabbed a banana and my purse and headed out.

Barely making it in on time, I quickly begin my 5 hour shift. Yeah I know it isn't much at all, which is why Jake is an uber.

Meanwhile, Not Too Far Away

Jacob's P.O.V

"You sure you don't wanna come Sophie?"

"Jacob for the last time I'm fine, you go and have a nice time with your family, I'll be fine" she said warmly staring at me with those bright green eyes of hers.

I just don't understand why she doesn't want to come to dinner with me &  my family. Our one year anniversary is coming up and she still hasn't met them, which is very strange to me.

Maybe she's uncomfortable meeting them, or she's just not ready. I'll give her some time.

"Okay fine, if you really don't want to go." I said buttoning up my shirt.

"Yay, now go have fun, this night is for you and your family, I'll be waiting here when you get back." She said walking over to me & finishing up my shirt.

I planted a kiss on her cheek & grabbed my jacket & phone.

"Now I shouldn't be gone for too long, so I'll see you soon, love you.

"Love ya too." She said as I trailed off to the door & headed to dinner with my family.
