Lunch was so awkward earlier, I had called to Noah once I had got back into the kitchen and pulled myself together and told him I had made something to eat. He sat down straight away with the bowl I had passed him, he even only got one set of cutlery from the drawer for himself and to make matters worse he didn't even say thank you. I was in this kitchen for an hour and a half making dinner and he decides to be a dick about it. Thank goodness he isn't going to be here next week, it means I can figure out a way to get back at him.
"Have you packed everything?" I asked Noah to break the silence and he just nodded but then shrugged, it was obvious that he was thinking about something but I couldn't help but feel like he was avoiding conversation with me; or maybe it was both.
"Do you need any help, I can go and get somethings quickly if you are in desperate need of anything like toothpaste, hair gel, or snacks. Oh maybe I can get you..." I began
"Sophia, it's fine I don't need anything" He finally said after a minute of me rambling. "I better finish packing" He said and left the counter "thank you for the food"
Finally I get a thank you for my hard work and effort. Noah has helped me through a rough patch when I was literally homeless and had no where else to go, and surely you would think that with all of that money he has he would be able to buy them even if they don't come naturally to him. I can tell it was difficult for him to thank me, he is the controlling type and one to always get his own way and expect everyone to bow down to him, but not me I will not become another one of his slaves just like his driver and everyone who works for him.
I cleaned up all of the dishes and the equipment used and headed to bed, it was getting late and I want to be up early tomorrow to see Noah off even if he is being a dick at the moment. I changed into a pair of shorts and a vest top and slipped into bed. I was so cold that I wrapped as many blankets around me and snuggled as best as I could trying to get warm.
"Urghhh" Noah groaned from the other side of the apartment, I contemplated whether to get up or not but eventually I decided against it and tried to go to sleep. "Why won't it shut" Noah said again raising his voice a little louder this time leaving me no choice but to get out of bed and see what was going on.
"Noah" I said walking into his room without knocking, if he won't be polite and kind to me why should I abide by his rules. "You need help?"
"No I can do it" He insisted so I turned and walked back out the room, I turned back around to shut the door and Noah was still struggling. What is with men and their pride not accepting help. So instead of asking again I walked back in confidently sat on the edge of the bed and emptied the suitcase onto the bed. I folded the clothes all neatly, rolling some of them so make them smaller and packed the suitcase like a natural. I have packed so many suitcases in my life when I move from place to place I, and sometimes I have to leave things that are too big to take when they are coming for me.
"There" I said lifting the suitcase, putting it on the floor, Noah nodded st me and I left the room to go back to my warm bed.
I got into bed and fell asleep thinking of going to Hawaii, I've never been as that's a place I want to go to for my honeymoon, well of course when I find the ideal guy. I wonder what this business trip Noah is going on is about, he has Never mentioned having any business over there before. Was he going to secretly meet Brooke? Since I overheard him on the phone saying that he loved her I can't shake that feeling that he is hiding something from me.
The next morning I woke up around half 4 so that I could see Noah leave and prepare for Jasmine's visit. Of course it wasn't necessary for me to wake up that early, and I know this sounds crazy but I wanted to get one last look at him since I wouldn't be seeing him for a whole week, on the plus side at least I don't have to work.
