The sound of glass shattering as it collided with the marble floor jolted Sophia awake. Her bare feet connected with the plush carpet as she ran in the direction of the noise. As she neared the mayhem more glass shattered along with the sound of the kitchen being destroyed. She hesitantly stepped inside, feeling an uncertainty she hadn't before; the member inside was angry and she had a feeling she knew exactly who it was.

Carefully avoiding the broken glass that was spread across the floor she navigated her way through the kitchen, taking in the destroyed area. Her eyes settled on her boss, who was sat leaning against the counter cupboard amongst the shards and porcelain. His knees were brought up to his chest and his hands were rested on his head while he stared blankly ahead without a trace of emotion on his face. She tiptoed over to the man who looked just as broken as the dishes lining the floor.

Kneeling down beside the broken man she touched his arm and he flinched. "Mr McKenzie are you okay?" She asked with a high level of formality, not quite sure how to act. He came to her rescue a couple of nights prior and she knew it was only right that she did the same - with whatever he needed right then. He refused to look at her, let alone talk, but instead kept his eyes focused on the empty wall in front of him. There were dents and scrapes covering the previously white wall, indicating that had been his target for throwing the kitchen equipment.

Sophia's eyes fell upon a crumpled newspaper that was amongst the broken glass at the base of the wall. Leaving the frozen man sitting on the floor, she picked up the newspaper. The sports column showed on the back, surely not what he was angry about. Turning over the newspaper, the headline and photograph that was front and centre was of Brooke straddling a man in Club Infinity. Her fingers were intertwined in his hair and her lips locked onto his. The man's face was only just visible, but there was enough for Sophia to realise who those lips belonged to, and her heart began to sink. Harry sat underneath Brooke with his hands gripping her waist, holding her in place in his lap.

Sophia's heart felt heavy as if someone had tied a weight to it and it pulled deeper and deeper. She saw the potential of a future relationship able to blossom with Harry: he was kind, successful and treated her right, always said good morning when he passed her in the hallway, and occasionally brought her a cup of coffee and a biscuit from the staff lounge. But this was betrayal - he asked her on a date which she was hesitant to accept. It was one thing to not offer to take her home but another to lock lips with a woman minutes after your date had left. To make matters worse, Sophia knew that it was no one's fault but her own; of course, any man would stay in the VIP section of a club with a supermodel. Any man would choose a supermodel, and she realised it was just the way it was. In her mind, it was factual information: men are attracted to long-legged, size four models.

Tearing Sophia from her memories of Saturday night, Noah began to laugh, though it wasn't like his regular laugh, it was a howl. "How didn't I see it?" There was a moment's silence from both parties. "It was so fucking obvious. How oblivious could I be?" He continued to laugh. "Why else was she constantly away? She's having a fucking affair. I should have connected the dots, he had a weeks vacation when she was in Paris! No wonder I haven't seen the photographs...she wasn't even fucking there!"

Sophia walked back over and sunk to her knees a little ways away from her boss, their positions a complete mirror of each other, the only difference being their expressions. Noah had an amused look on his face but Sophia had a serious yet slightly confused one. "I'm sorry if I scared you." His tone was now serious.

"You didn't." She stood and dusted off her knees, thankful that he was back to his usual self. Sophia made her way back to her room and slipped into a pair of sneakers before going into the cupboard and retrieving the broom and dustpan. Back in the kitchen, Noah had already started to pick up some of the larger shards of glass and was throwing them into the trash. The two worked silently side by side clearing the kitchen and getting it back to normal again. Before she had a chance to leave the kitchen once everything was in order, Noah's words pulled her back.
