Chapter Eleven: The Cut Off

AUTHOR'S POV 

Laurent has been crying right along with his love for several minutes now and the harder Larry cries the harder Laurent cries too because if there's one thing Laurent hates more than anything in this world is his love being upset or hurt in anyway. He simply can't take what's happening behind that door which is why he can no longer sit there and listen to it for his heart is literally splitting down the middle at the sound of it. Being that Larry is already distressed it also occurs to Laurent that he's naked on the cold, hard floor so he stands up and walks over to the drawer to dress himself then pull out some clothes for Larry. As he walks to the bathroom door he wipes tears away and now standing in front of it he lightly knocks...

Laurent: "Bebe"? *silence* "Bebe I'm sorry you're hurting. Can I come in"?

Larry can't even reply as he's still crying so hard...

Laurent: "Please bebe. I want to help you and I know you're cold. Please let me in". 

Seconds later the door slowly opens and when Laurent walks in then looks down at Larry he can just crumble. As he suspected Larry is cold as there's a visible tremble to his body. Of course that tremble can also have something to do with his heavy emotions but whether it's from being cold, distressed or both Laurent absolutely hates seeing his love in this condition and his tears have no choice but to return. He bends down to help him and that's when he hears...

Larry: *sniff* "I'm so sorry Laurent".

Larry bursts into tears yet again so Laurent immediately sits next to him then wraps his around his love and brings him into his chest...

Laurent: "Sorry for what bebe? Please talk to me". 

Of course Larry knows what he's apologizing for even though he hasn't officially told Laurent. He knows that what he told Laurent in place of the truth makes it yet another lie. Not only that but Larry absolutely loves his job and he doesn't want to quit...but he simply won't be able to take the look on Laurent's face if he tells him the real truth. He continues to cry while Laurent continues to rock him gently...but he can still feel Larry trembling so he really needs to get some clothes on him so in a soft voice, "bebe you're so cold. Please let me get you dressed oki? Larry softly nods through his tears so Laurent stands up then carefully stands Larry to his feet. Laurent grabs the sweats first then bends over and holds them open so Larry can step in. Larry places his hands on Laurent's shoulders to keep his balance as the tears steadily flow. Trying to be strong for his love Laurent holds his tears back but that's a huge struggle in itself. With the sweats on now he grabs the t-shirt and whispers, "raise your arms bebe". Larry does as requested...but as his breath hitches in between sobs Laurent can't hold his back anymore and tears are starting to cloud his eyes. He has to look up at the ceiling to keep them from falling and he's successful but this is certainly doing a number on his heart. With Larry dressed now Laurent guides him out of the bathroom and over to the bed as what Larry really needs now is sleep. Laurent is sure that he needs to talk about something else but it's evident that Larry is physically and emotionally exhausted. It won't take very long for him to fall asleep once Laurent has him comfortable under the covers and as he lays there Laurent gazes at him. There's a lot of soft rubbing and equally soft kisses to Larry's forehead and nose...but he's extremely desperate to know what has Larry so frazzled. Surely it isn't the guilt of feeling like he doesn't want to work anymore. Yes they've had their disagreements about that but to bring such heavy emotions is odd. Now Laurent's mind is back to his original thought of there being someone else that Larry is involved with and he's struggling to confess it. This would explain the distance between them and the way Larry's been turning down their lovemaking. Laurent also had to admit that as amazing as Larry felt before his emotional episode something about it still felt...off. Still, he can't grasp Larry being unfaithful. His heart can't grasp it either. Nonetheless, he hopes that whatever it is Larry will stop torturing himself and talk to him. Until then Laurent gives him one more kiss on the forehead then closes his eyes to fall asleep next to him...
