I woke up in the comfort of my bed. It feels good to be here. Good enough that I don't wanna move but I have to. Today is the day of Tyler's prom and I need to start getting ready. I got in the tub and soaked as I checked my messages.

I put my phone on Pandora as I continued to relax. I drained the tub then took a shower. I washed my body in Paris Amour from Bath and Body Works. I got out and air dried as I found my outfit. Once I found one, I put lotion all over my body. I put on a pink jogging suit and black low top chucks. Then I put some money in my wallet and put it in my purse. I wrapped my hair into a messy bun. I put a pink polka dotted Minnie Mouse case on my phone and grabbed my black Kate Spade tote. Then I headed downstairs.
"Morning mom." I said to her. She was sipping her coffee and reading a newspaper with a half naked man at the stove.
"Oh sweetheart." She basically choked on her coffee and the man turned around. "I didn't know you were here." the man was Uncle X.
"Really ma? You got this nigga parading around here in his draws?" I asked pissed off.
"I'm still your uncle little girl."
"You were, til you started fucking my mother." I said.
"Watch your mouth Glory." My mother spoke, using my middle name.
"Or what? You're gonna hit me again?" I asked. She said nothing. "You're not even divorced yet!" I screamed. I hate her. "I'm leaving. But you don't care, right?" I grabbed a Gatorade from the fridge and Ignored her calling my name as I headed to Ruby. I got in my car and took a sip of my drink before driving to Peaches house. She was sitting on her steps going through her phone. We're kinda matching. I honked the horn and she walked to the car. She has on a blue jogging suit and black and white checkered vans.

"What's the matter bestie?" she asked as I drove to the beauty salon.
"My mother." I say simply.
"Ugh what she do now?" Peach asked giving me her undivided attention.
"X was there in his underwear making her breakfast. She said that she didn't even know that I was there. I can't wait til we move." I tell her.
"I know. This morning my dad tried to tell me that he won't be giving me an allowance and he's disowning me once I leave."
"What the fuck? Why?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders. "He don't have to give you money but he's disowning you? That's crazy." Soon we were at the salon and we walked in. We immediately started getting our hair done. Afterwards we got our nails done. My hair is wand curled with a side part. I also got some color on the ends, honey blonde. Peaches hair is curled like mines except with a shorter style. I can't wait until it's time for us to put on our dresses. We about to shut shit down at this prom. Then we gone do the same at ours. I just hope they have a good DJ because I'm bout to turn up. Ty and Sumo are throwing a hotel party after the prom. Me and Peach have a few hours until it's time for Grand March. (It's like the Red Carpet, but for prom. Everyone who isn't going to prom can show up and take pictures or just look at everyone's dresses and suits. It's fun.)
