♀ Chapter 5 - I D E N T I T Y

As I walked out the school gate, I thought about how hard it would be to get close to Zee again, especially if he didn't remember me. Now that he got the attention of all the female population of the school, why would he even talk to me? What if he didn't? What if I was ignored? What if I got friend zoned??

I knew that I'd be getting a lot of attention from the other guys. It had never been a problem in my old school at Mumbai. I'd even been crowned Queen twice. But I didn't want the others' reaction. I wanted his.

As I walked out, I thought what if I didn't introduce myself as Shanaya to him. What if I didn't tell him and wait for him to take interest first? And just like that a brilliant plan was formed.

I walked back into the school towards the Principal's office. I hoped he'd still be there. I knocked on the door.

"Come in." When he saw me he looked surprised.

"Oh Shanaya, what brings you here again?"

"Mr.Greene I need to ask you to do me a favour. My parents just called and told me that I could not reveal my real name and identity here. We're dealing with some issues, they're afraid for my safety here."

"Security issues?"

"Yes."

He thought about it for a moment.

"Okay.. yes. Safety of our students is most important to us. What do you want me to do?"

"Please instruct all the teachers to address me by the name I introduce myself as tomorrow. Under no condition can they reveal my real name. My test papers and other such things will have my fake name."

"Okay. I'll ask them to do this." He said hesitantly.

"Thank you. I'll be going now. Please remember all that I've said."

He nodded.

Sometimes being rich helps.

I went in as Shanaya Pierce, came out as Sasha Purcell.

I decided to tell mom and Sam later.

Steps of my plan:

1. Change hair colour
2. Get contact lenses
3. Get fake glasses (just in case)
4. Create a cover story of my life.

For the first step, I told Sam to take me to a posh salon my mom had told me to visit when I needed to. As soon as the receptionist discovered that I was Sara Pierce's daughter, I was immediately rushed inside and taken inside a private area (probably reserved for celebrities). I got a haircut first and chose to change my brown hair to chestnut blonde. I also got a full body wax. A manicure and pedicure too. They gave me a gold facial too. At the end of the day I felt refreshed and pampered. I was surprised when I looked in a mirror. I looked way prettier.. my face glowed and my skin looked very smooth. But my hair, it suited me very well.
