Chapter 25: better days
"David its me Liza."
He's laying on his bed with his back facing me. He quickly turns to face me and sits up.
"Don't you have somewhere to be."
"David are you ok...were you crying?" I ask sitting next to him
"Yeah no shit!" I see another tear fall down his eye. I reach my hand to touch his cheek.
"Don't touch me." He slaps my hand back and looks down.
"David tell me what's wrong. This isn't like you."
"Haven't you've done enough!" He yells at me.
"What did I do?!"
I think I get it now. He saw Jake and I kissing.
"I thought you liked me." He says standing up
"I do like you. so so much." I say grabbing his arm. "So much I think it might be in love."
"You clearly don't since you were kissing another guy."
"David... we haven't discussed the girlfriend, boyfriend thing yet."
"That doesn't mean you can go off with another guy and make out with him...I saw everything Liza."
"David he was just-"
"What looking for something in your mouth."
"David!...please...just let me explain."
I grabbed his hand and sat on his bed.
"Jake and I saw each other for the first time in years. He came to visit LA and we bumped into each other. We made plans to meet up the next day-"
"Why were you ignoring my text?"
"Let me finish."
"We meet up the next day and we started looking at old pictures and things I kept back in high school,and that's when things started to go a little to far. Then later on he leaned in and kissed me and...I kissed back, but I felt like I was doing something wrong. I kicked him out. We got into an argument."
"And were was I in this story."
"I...got mad at you...i thought you were going to ask me to be your girlfriend. I ignored you and Gabbie the whole day....and David I am really really sorry. I thought you were just using me to get over your ex or something."
He moves closer to me and then I start crying.
"Liza I really like you and when you kissed that guy I felt jealous I didn't think you would go off and run away. I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend...I froze I thought we were not going to get along, but I want to work this out." He puts his hand on my cheek to wipe away the tear and he leans in to kiss me.
I wrap my arms around him and slowly going up to his hair. He puts his hands on my back. I make my way into his lap. We pull away and put our foreheads together
"I'm really sorry."
"And I am sorry too."
"Liza koshy..."
"Yes..."
"Will you do me the honor and being my girlfriend."
"...I would love to."
"Your all mine." He kisses me back and this time I decided to explore him and surprise him. He leans back and now I'm practically laying on him.
"...I believe that it's more than love too." He says."
"Are you saying you love me?" I say
"Yes...I'm not afraid to say it. I love you."
"And I love you." I give him a huge tight hug and cuddle up next to him.
"Don't you think we are going to fast."
"Yes, but I feel like your the one. Forever and always."
"I sure hope so." I say as I stare at the rose petals on the floor. "I'm guessing you got mad too.
"Yeah I got so mad that I started a little tantrum and threw the roses on the floor...but I managed to keep this." He says pulling a box out of his pocket.
"Wait...is this-?"
"Don't freak out...I'm not proposing...well not yet exactly.....but it's a ring...as long as you keep this on, I'll know that you still love me. It sounds cheesy but-"
I cut him off with a kiss, not a long kiss.
"I love it...thank you. I will never forget this moment."
A/n: finally decided to make them stay together. Yay. I honestly don't know why I put the name Jake. 😂 I feel Inspired to right another Diza book I have everything planed out so be on the look out. I also, now have to right two books
