Three Years

Chapter 7

*Aphmau's POV*

"So why are we heading to O'khasis again?" Aaron asked as we walked. I kicked a stone, hoping that Garroth would answer the question. He didn't. "Someone there requested to see you and Lilith. And before you ask,  we do not know who it is." I said. He nodded, picking Lilith up. She looked a little sad. 

"What's wrong?" I turned to look at her, she shoved her face into Aaron's shoulder. "What if the people who want to see us are bad? What if they try to hurt you or Daddy or the handsome boy?" Garroth turned, "Who is the handsome boy suppose to be?" She blushed, "No one." 

"Anyway, I don't think they want to hurt you. If they try, I'll be ready." Aaron said. I nodded in agreement. The walk was kind of quiet. Nobody really said anything. Lilith was humming the song I sang to her the other night. I smiled a little bit. Man, did I miss her, both of them. I looked back, and I instantly regretted it. Aaron and I made eye contact. I blushed, turning my head. I just couldn't believe they were here with me, but I still regretted everything I did three years ago.

We arrived at O'khasis about two hours later. Garroth turned to us, "I'm going to go to the inn and get our rooms set. Aaron, Aphmau," we turned to look at him. "what do you want to do about Lilith? Which one of you is she going to sleep with?" Lilith spoke before we could, "Can't Mommy and Daddy share a room? I mean that would be easier and I would get to be with both of them." I looked to Aaron, and he looked at me. "Please guys." She said.

I sighed, "It's up to Daddy. I don't really care where I sleep." Aaron spoke, "It's fine with me." Lilith's face lit up. "Yay! Mommy and Daddy are going to be together!" She shouted, excitedly. Garroth cleared his throat, "Now that that's settled, you guys can go to the lord's  home. That is the person who requested us anyway." I nodded, grabbing Lilith's hand. Aaron grabbed her other. "Let's go." He said with a smile.

*Aaron's POV*

I walked up to the door and knocked on it once. Twice. A third time. No answer. "Maybe they aren't home." I said. Aph nodded, turning around to walk in. As we did the door opened with a loud bang. I jumped. 

"Who is there?" A voice from behind said. Aph looked behind us. "My name is Aphmau and this is Aaron and Lilith. I was told that the lord wanted to see them, so I brought them here." She said in a calm tone. The man looked from me to Lilith and back to me. "Come in." He said.

We walked into the building. It looked so small from the outside, but it was huge on the inside. The floors were white carpet, the same color as the walls. Tall quartz pillars lined the walls of the room. A stone fountain sat in the middle of it all. It was absolutely breathe taking. I stared in awe. I didn't realize that we were at the lord's office. The man that escorted us here entered the room. He told us to wait until he came back out.

"What do you think the lord wants?" Aph asked. I shrugged, "Probably wants to hire us for some job. That's how it normally is." She nodded. He came back out, "You may enter now." We stepped in. It wasn't very big, but I could tell that it belonged to a girl. The walls and floor were bright pink. There were books of all sorts on pink bookshelves.

We approached her desk. It was pink. I wanted to vomit there was so much pink. "Hello?" I said. "You know, if I were you I would have come to see me a lot sooner, but you seem to be a pretty busy man." I was confused, "I'm sorry, I don't know you, so how could I have contacted you?"

"I'm a little hurt, Aaron. I would think you would remember your own wife." I froze, "Lily, is that you?" 

"Why yes, Aaron, it is me. It's nice to see you again."

Hey guys! If you are wondering who Lily is, she is Aaron's old wife. I know she is technically dead, but this a fanficton, not reality. I wanted to add her so there was a little more drama in the story. But the best thing is I got a laptop! Now I can type my stories instead of doing it on my phone.
