Three Years

Chapter 8

*Aaron's POV*

I couldn't believe that Lily was right in front of me. She was still alive. I ran to her in tears and hugged her tight. "I can't believe it's you Lily. I thought you were dead." I said, holding her like I might lose her again. "Well a miracle happened to get me here." She said. "What about Jacob? Is he here?" I asked. She looked to the ground and shook her head. "Oh." 

"Anyway, who are the two behind you?" Lily pointed to Aph and Lilith. "That's Aphmau and Lilith." I said. She looked at me, "Are you two married?" She asked. I shook my head. Aph and I couldn't keep a relationship long enough to think about marriage.

Lilith ran up to me, "Who is that Daddy?" She whispered into my ear. "That is my wife." I said. She looked horrified and upset. "But I thought you loved Mommy." She said, her voice breaking. I didn't say anything. She exploded. "So everything you said about her was a LIE!? You don't love her and you never will!" I was shocked. "Mommy can we leave please. I don't want to look at Daddy anymore." She picked up Lilith, close to tears and walked out.

Lily tapped my shoulder, "You don't need them. They aren't worth it." I nodded. "Now Aaron I have a question for you." I turned my head, nodding again. "Will you move in with me?" I looked at the door. What about Aph and Lilith? Will Aph start to cut again or will she do worse? And what will happen to Lilith? All these questions ran through my head. I looked back at Lily, the first person I ever fell in love with. I then came to a decision.

*Aphmau's POV*

I couldn't do it. I just could not do it. I loved Aaron and it's pretty clear he doesn't love me back. All I wanted to do was cry. It was over. Everything. All those memories. All those moments we spent together. I had just lost my reason for living. Even when he left, I still kept a sliver of hope. I knew he would come back, but now, I know I lost him. There was no doubting it. 

I saw Garroth off in the distance. I dropped Lilith and ran to him. I wrapped my arms around, crying. "Aphmau, what's wrong?" He asked, hugging me back. Lilith came up and explained what had happened. 

"I can't believe he did that to you." Garroth said. I sniffled and whipped my eyes. "You need some time to rest. Let's head to the inn. Lilith," he said, "do you mind having your own room so I can be alone with Mommy?" She shook her head. "If it makes Mommy happy then I'll do it." She smiled. "Thank you." I said.

We got to the inn. I walked into my room, followed by Garroth. I told Lilith not to answer the door unless she hears three knocks.

I sat on the bed. Garroth sat next to me. I leaned my head on his shoulder. "I hate him. I hate him so much." I said. "He's not worth your time Aphmau. All he did was hurt you." He put his arm around me. Garroth made me feel, strangely enough, like I was home. He was safe and gave me love that I didn't deserve.

I looked at him and he looked at me. I leaned forward and kissed him. This kiss felt so different than the one's I shared with Aaron. I felt more passion in this one, more love. He put a hand on my cheek, pulling me closer. I pulled away, "I'm sorry. That was uncalled for. I feel so dirty for doing that." I turned my head away. "No it was fine Aphmau. I was a little surprised, but I enjoyed it." I smiled, leaning back on the bed. Garroth laid down next to me.

"So what do you want to do? Want to head back to Phoenix Drop or stay here for a little bit?" He asked. I thought about it for a moment then spoke, "I think I want to stay here for a little bit. I needed to get out, so I'm going to take the time to do a few more things, like shop and explore the town." He nodded. I snuggled up next to him. He gave me a quick peck on the cheek. "Goodnight." That was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.

*Aaron's POV*

"I'll move in with you." I said with a small smile. She beamed. "Yay!" Lily cleared her throat. "Winston." She said. It was the man from before. "Yes miss?"

"Please set up my room for Aaron. I want him to be comfortable. The colors that I would do are red and black. Those are his favorites." He nodded and left. 

"So tell me about the two that were just here." Lily said, sitting in the chair behind her desk. I sat down as well. "Well the older one was my ex-girlfriend and the youngest was our adoptive daughter." I then remembered that we had another child. I didn't know the name of it, but it was our first born. I pushed the thought aside.

"Interesting." She said. "You two ever?" I nodded. She nodded back. "Well," she stood up, "let's give you a tour of the place. It would be best if you knew your way around." She walked out the door, and I followed her.

I didn't really pay attention to the tour. I was too lost in thought. All I could think about was Aph. I felt like I just betrayed her, leaving her, but I loved Lily and seeing her again just brought me so much joy. I couldn't leave. A strange voice appeared in my head. I've heard it before.

"What are you doing?" It asked

'What are you talking about?"

"Why did you leave her. Aphmau I mean."

'I left because of Lily. I need her.' I said

"But was she the one that  brought you out of your shell? Or the one that made you feel like it was possible to love again?"

The voice was telling the truth. That was all the work of Aph.

'Look, I don't need Aph anymore. I have Lily back. Yes, I loved Aph, but I will always love Lily more. Now can you leave me alone.'

"Fine, but be careful, you might regret what you just said."

I rolled my eyes as we continued the tour.

"And this is a our room." Lily said. It was pretty big. The bed looked comfortable. I looked around and turned back to Lily. I pulled her into a hug and kissed her. "I'm so glad to see you again, Aaron."

"I'm glad too, Lily."

Hey guys! I got in deep with this chapter. It's kinda sad, but I loved it. Also it's longer than the others are. I hope you enjoyed this one, even though I just sank Aarmau, and made Garmau and whatever Lily and Aaron's ship name is, a thing again. (If you have one, you should tell me!
