Three Years

Chapter 16

*Aphmau's POV*
"Aph, get up." I heard a familiar voice. It was male. I sat up and saw Laurence. Then I remembered. Oh yeah, I'm a Shadow Knight. I thought. "How are you?"
"I'm fine, I guess." He nodded.
"Are you heading back home?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "What if they don't want me back? Look at me." I said, on the verge of tears. "Why wouldn't want you back? You are still the same Aphmau everyone knows and loves. You just look different. Besides, unless you kill someone you love, you won't become a full fledged Shadow Knight."
"I guess you're right." I fiddled with the engagement ring on my finger. Laurence saw what I was doing and looked down. "Who?" I looked up, confused. "What do you mean who?" He pointed at the ring, "Who proposed to you?"
"Aaron did." I smiled, thinking back on it. "Oh. Well, I'm happy for you." He gave me a small smile. "Thank you. I'm really sorry. I know how much you loved me."
"Aphmau, as long as your happy, I am." I smiled.
A loud knock on the door interrupted our conversation. "Yo Laurence! When you're done making out with the new girl, bring her out. The boss wants to see her." Laurence ran to the door, opening it. "Shut up Gene! She was just telling me about how she's ENGAGED so she's already taken. Besides why would you think I was making out with her?" The man, which I'm guessing is Gene, shrugged. "'Cause you're a ladies man at heart. Also she looks like that girl you talk about."
"Whatever." Laurence said. "Aphmau! The boss wants to meet you." I walked to the door. "Come on." Gene said, leading me to a big room.
The halls were empty, but the walls said so much about them. The walls were dark red and black. Torches. They were so many of them. It was the only light in this place.
"We're here." I was pulled out of my train of thought. "You must be Aphmau." A deed voice spoke, sending chills down my spine. I nodded, "Y-yes." He looked down, at my... hand. "My name is Shad. Now I see you have a ring. What is that for?"
"My boyfriend asked me to marry him."
"So you are not married yet?" I shook my head. "Why?" He rubbed his chin. "You are very pretty. Did you know that?" I nodded. "Okay I know what I want to do with her." He said. "Gene, bring her forward." He did. Shad grabbed my hand with my ring. He took the ring off my finger. No. Please, don't. He threw it. Out a window near his throne. "Why did you do that?!" I shouted. "You will marry me."
"What?" I asked, in shock, tears rolling down my cheeks. "Laurence you will head to the surface, find her "fiance", and bring him back so he can watch us get married."
"Laurence, please don't do this to me." He turned his head in shame, "As you wish Shad." Shad gave a toothy grin , "Bring her back to her room and lock her in there." Gene grabbed my arm and pulled me gently to my room.
"I'm sorry." He said. I just sobbed. He hugged me. "Shh. Everything will be okay. I promise."

*Laurence's POV*
I walked through the portal, entering a world that I haven't been in for a while. "The sun is so bright." I said to myself.
I looked at my surroundings. "Phoenix Drop!" I ran to then gate and saw Dante. "Dante!" I shouted. He turned around, "Laurence! What are you doing here?"
"I'm here for Aaron. I have Aph."
"Uh, he left the village to go look for her." I groaned. "Thank you. It was nice seeing you again buddy." He looked a little confused, but said, "Nice seeing you too." Then I left.

Hey guys. Sorry this is late and short. I'm gonna try to get two chapters up tomorrow. If you didn't know already, I started a Markiplier X Reader book. I'm a nerd ok! Don't judge me!
