Don't play the song yet.
*Aphmau's POV*
Lilith's mouth dropped open. She looked at the torn photo, to me, then back to the photo. Her tears came slowly and silently.
"Mommy, I can't believe it's you." A sad smile tugging at her lips. "It is sweety."
Lilith ran into my arms and hugged me so tightly. "I thought I would never see you again." She said, crying into my shoulder. "Me too, Lilith. Me too." I was so happy.
Garroth cleared his throat. We both looked at him. "Who's that? Is he your boyfriend?" Lilith whispered into my ear. "No, why would you think that?"
"Cause he's kind of hot." I burst into a fit of laughter. I couldn't believe that my three year old daughter said that.
"Did Daddy teach you that?" I asked trying to calm down. She blushed, "Yeah. That's what he would call you whenever he looked at your picture. So I asked what it meant and he told me."
My giggles grew louder. Garroth started in confusion. "Someone want to tell me what's going on he said?"
"Yes. Garroth this is Lilith and I was laughing because she said you were-"
"Mommy! Don't tell him!" She laughed. I smiled, "Nevermind the laughing. You good now, Garroth?" He nodded, laying down in the grass.
"The stars look very pretty." Garroth said. I grabbed Lilith's hand, walking over to Garroth to join him.
"Yeah they do." I said looking at him. He smiled. I returned the action.
"So Lilith, where is-" Loud snoring cut me off. She was asleep on my stomach. I giggled quietly.
Garroth tapped my shoulder, "Are we going to go find Aaron in the morning?"
"Yes, but I don't know if I want to bring them to O'Khasis." He nodded, "I know you don't, but you'll understand why later."
"Why can't I know why now?"
He sighed, "I was told not to tell you by the people who requested him."
"Okay." Was all I said.
I closed my eyes, wanting more than anything I sleep, but I heard Lilith say, "Mommy?"
I opened my eyes, "Yes?"
"Can you sing me to sleep? Daddy sad you had a beautiful voice and I want to hear it."
I haven't sung since that day with Aaron at the waterfall. "I will. For you, anything." I smiled. Here goes nothing. I thought. I wrapped my arms around her and started to sing. Now play the song.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land, that I heard of
Once in a lullabySomewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come trueSomeday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find meSomewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why, then why can't I?Birds fly over the rainbow
Why, then why can't I?She was asleep in my arms. Behind me I heard very quiet clapping.
I turned around and Garroth gave me a thumbs up. I laughed, closing my eyes.I was in the woods. Alone.
No Lilith or Garroth or anyone.
I looked around, until I saw a black figure. The shadow looked like it was a male. He moved closer slowly. I tried to back away, but I was stopped by some sort of wall.
He stood in front of me and I saw his face a little bit.
"Aphmau?" It asked. "What do you want? Who are you?" I asked. It smirked, "You don't remember me? How sad." He stepped closer so that I could see his face entirely.
"A-Aaron... is that you?" He laughed. "Why yes it is me. Now come here and give me a hug."
Tears welled up in my eyes as I ran into his arms. He held me tightly. Aaron then loosened his grip on me, reaching into his boot.
"I wish it didn't have to. You are a pretty one I'll admit."
"Aaron, what are you doing?" He pulled out a knife. He grabbed my arm and sent the knife through my chest.
He laughed, "Goodbye Aphmau.""Mommy wake up!" I shot my head up, panting. I felt around my body, looked at my surroundings, making sure he wasn't around. I sighed in relief.
"What's wrong? You were shouting in your sleep and tossing and turning."
"Nothing. Just a dream." I said.
"Hey, where's Mirianth? I haven't seen her since last night." I asked.
A noise came from behind me. I turned. I saw Mirianth. She looked awful. I could tell she was tired.
"Oh Mirianth are you okay?"
"She's fine." I looked up at the sudden voice I heard.
"Hey, Aph. Long time, right?"
"Daddy! You're okay!" Lilith ran over jumping into his arms. Garroth ran over too, as shocked as I was.
"Mommy are you gonna give Daddy a hug too?" She asked.
I looked at him. All the tears I had in my eyes came pouring out at once.
He wrapped his arms around me, "Don't cry please." He said. I wrapped my arms around him, crying so hard.
I stuttered,
"H-hey A-Aaron."Hey guys! I'm so happy I got the day off today from school. It's awesome! Because of this I'm gonna try to get chapter 5 up asap I hope you enjoyed the chapter though. I took a lot of brain power I didn't know I had to write this. I cried writing it though.
