Three Years

Chapter 19

*Aaron's POV*
"Her heartbeat is very slow, Aaron." Zoey said. Alina was crying and Lilith was trying to comfort her. I tried to think back to what happened. Then it hit me.
"The gem." I said out loud, accidentally. "What jem?" Zoey asked. "When we were in the Nether she got hit with this black jem. The man who had it said it would kill whoever got hit with it instantly, but she survived."
"Do you think it could be that?" She asked. I nodded. "I might have a cure, but it will take a while. Why don't you bring the girls for a walk? You know, clear your heads."
"Yeah, that's a good idea," I stood up, "Lilith, Alina, we're gonna go for a walk. Come on." They followed me out the door. I looked back at Aph, then left.
"Will Mama be okay Dada?" Alina said. "Yes, Zoey is going to take care if her." I wish I could say that was true. "Hey Daddy, did you know that me and Alina are the same age?" Lilith said, happily. "Yeah. You two are like twins."
"Yay! Me and sissy are the same!" Alina yelled. I laughed. "Alina?" I said. She looked at me. "What was mommy like before I got back?"
"Mama was very sad. She would hide in her room and hurt herself. It scared me, Dada. She would not talk to me or Levin or anyone. She loved me though." She looked sad.
We reached the ocean and we sat in the sand. "Why is sand so squishy?" Lilith asked. "Irene thought that little girls would like it squishy, so she made it like that."
"Really! Irene is very nice!" I laughed. "Did you know Mommy and I are going to get married?" Alina looked confused, "What is that?"
"It's when two people who love each other very much want to be with each other forever."
"Does that mean me and sissy can get married?! I love her and I want to be with her forever!" I laughed. "You and sissy can't get married, but you'll get married to someone you love when you are older."
"Promise?" She asked. "Promise." I said.

We sat there for a few hours, until Zoey came down. "Aaron!" She shouted. I walked up to her. "What is it?"
"It's Aph," my heart shattered, "she's doing great!" My heart mended. "Girls! Mommy is well again! Let's go see her!" I shouted.
They came back, their clothes soaked. "We will also need to change your clothes." I laughed.

When we got back, Aph was brushing her hair. I ran up and wrapped my arms around her waist. I kissed her neck, making her shiver. "Hey Aaron." She smiled. "Hey babe. How are you?"
"I'm good."
"Mommy!" I heard from behind me. Lilith and Alina ran to her. "How are my girls?!" She said, picking them up and spinning them.
I watched them intently.

"Hey Aaron." The voice said

'Oh hey.' I said, continuing to watch them.

"You've changed. But it's a good change."

'Really? How?'

"You and Aphmau. You've grown from this shy boy to this amazing man. I can't wait for your wedding day."

'I can't wait either.'
I smiled. Finally I was going to build a home with her. She looked at me and smiled. I flashed one back. My life is just great.
