*Aphmau's POV*
The path we walked was long and tiring. My legs and lungs burned and my head was pounding. I guess that's what I get for not doing anything for... yeah.
"Garroth." I squeaked out. He turned, "Aphmau, are you alright?" He asked concerned. I shook my head, coughing.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me to a small creek not far from the path. "Drink please." He said. I obeyed, making a cup with my hand and putting them into the cool water.
I pulled them back out and took a sip. It felt like heaven as I drank. It was so cold, but it felt so nice.
I sighed, "Thank you Garroth. You didn't have to do that." He smiled and nodded.
I looked at Mirianth who was drinking the water. "Come on Mirianth. We have to continue." She looked up and trotted behind me. She was like a dog, but with scales, fangs, wings, and possibly the ability to breathe fire.
We caught up with Garroth and I tried to keep his pace. I knew that it was going to be a long trip.
______
After about a hour or so we decided to stop for a break. We found a small field to set up camp for the night.
It felt so good to stop walking. I layed in the grass, petting Mirianth. She loved when I did this.
Garroth came back with some fire wood and placed it in front of us. "Aphmau can you build the fire? I'm going to find some food." I nodded sitting up.
We had food, but Mirianth got into most of it, so it's mainly scraps.
I lit the fire sitting back in my patch of grass.
"Hello? Is anyone around?" I heard a voice. It sounded like the voice of a child. I looked around, but saw nothing. I shrugged, thinking it was just my imagination playing tricks on me.
Then I heard it again, "Please someone help me. This mean lady took my Daddy and I can't find my Mommy." I stood up and called, "Hey. Where are you?"
"Behind the bush. I'll shake it." The child shook the bush. I ran over to it and looked behind it.
It was a little girl, about Elena's age.
"Is everything okay?" I asked. She looked up. "Come here. I'll get you some food and you can tell me what happened." She nodded, standing up and following me. Mirianth ran up to her and licked her ankle. She giggled. Garroth came back with some food. He looked at the girl next to me. "Where did she come from?"
"I found her in the bush. Do we have enough food for her?" I asked. Garroth nodded. "Let me get cooking." I turned to the girl. "So what happened?" She took in a shaky breath.
"My Daddy and I were walking and we ran into the lady with purple hair and cat ears. She said her name was-"
"Michi! I know that jerk! Sorry continue." She smiled.
"Yes, that was her name. She invited us to her house to spend the night. I went around the house, looking at it. It was filled with strange objects, so I decided to tell Daddy. He taught me what was good and bad and those things were bad.
"When I walked into the room he was in, I saw the lady shove a needle in his neck. When she walked away, I ran to him. He told me to go find my Mommy and bring her to him. I got lost walking and ended up there. I have good survival skills, but I'm only three, ya know." I took in her story. It sounds like something Michi would do.
"I can help you find your Mommy. What does she look like?"
"Daddy gave me a picture of her. It should be somewhere in this bag." She dug around in it until she pulled out a small, torn piece of paper.
"Here it is." She handed it to me. "That's funny," I said, "she looks a lot like me." I looked to the girl.
"What's your name?" She patted her dress and looked to me, "My name is Lilith."
Garroth turned to look at us. He must have heard the name. He walked over with the food and handed it to us. I took a bite of it.
Lilith. It can't be her. There's no way. I thought. "What's your Daddy's name?" I asked, horrified she'd say his name.
She swallowed her food, "This is very good. But his name is Aaron."
I clenched my fist, fighting the tears that wanted to come out. "Do you know your Mommy's name?"
She nodded, "He said it was Aphmau." I looked to her, the tears spilling out. "Hey Lilith, it's me, Mommy."
I was happy to see her after....

Three years.

Hey guys! I hope you're enjoying it so far. I promise I won't always end it with three years. It's just for now. I'll only do it sometimes. Also this has nothing to do with season 3 of MCD. Only a few things are from it. Welp I'll see you all in the next chapter! Byeeee!! :3
