Chapter 22 (Ending Part 2/4)

*Aphmau's POV*
"You look beautiful, Aphmau." Cadenza said, adjusting the bottom of the dress. The dress was pure white, the top having a few silver sparkles. It was puffed out like a ball gown. The material was soft and I liked the way it felt in my hand.
I twirled in it, smiling. "He's going to love you in it." A voice says. I look up to see Garroth, leaning against the doorframe. "Thank you Garroth." I say. "Hey, I have a question."
"Yeah?" He asks. "Do you mind giving me away? Since I don't exactly have a dad or any family for that matter to do so." His face lights up. "Of course I will!" I laugh, "Thank you so much."
"Anything for you."
Cadenza helps me take off the dress, putting it away. "Are you going to help Aaron with his suit?" She smiles. "If he wants me to."
"I'm sure he'd love you to." I smile. "Okay! Do you mind asking him when you go home?" She asks, grabbing some material for it. "Yeah, sure."
"Thank you! I'll see you later!" Cadenza waves. "Bye!" I walk out of the house, noticing Dante in the distance. "Hey Aph!" He calls, waving me. "Hey!" I say, walking to him. "Planning for the wedding?" I nod. "I can't wait to see you two finally get hitched! I've been waiting so long!" I laugh, "So have I."
"Well, I'll see you later! You probably have a lot to get done." He walks away, leaving me alone.
I walk back to my house, hoping Zane and Aaron didn't kill each other while I was gone. I reach the front door and it's eerily quiet from inside. I open the door, seeing that the downstairs is intact.
I walk upstairs, "Hello?" I call out. I feel arms wrap around me. "Shh, Zane is trying to sleep." He whispers in my ear. I shiver, "Okay.."
"Come here." He pulls me into our room. He sits me on the bed, kissing my forehead. "Everything okay?" I ask him. "Yeah, I just want to spend some quality time with you."
"Oh, I thought something bad happened. Also, Cadenza wants to know if you want her to make your suit for the wedding."
"Sure. I'll go down now." He gives me a quick kiss on the lips before walking out. "Bye babe." He says. "Bye."
I lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling. I play with my engagement ring, twirling it around. "I can't believe he chose me.." I smiled to myself. I heard a knock at the door. "Come in!" I shout. The door, Zane standing outside. "Hey." He says. "Hi!" I wave. "How are you?" He asked, trying to be friendly. "I'm great, how are you?"
"I'm alright." He gave me a crooked smile, causing me to giggle.
"Did Garroth stop by?" I asked, remembering what I told him to do. Zane shakes his head. "Oh."
I get up out of bed, grabbing Zane's hand. "What are you doing?" He asks, looking a little flustered. "You are coming to see your brother."
"What!? He's going to want to kill me!" He tries to pull his hand away from mine. "No he won't. Not if I'm there." I stop, "You need to keep your head down until we get to Garroth's place, alright?" He nods, tilting his head down.
As we arrive at his house, I can hear my heart beat in my ears. How is this supposed to go? Is Garroth going to be mad? Will be try to kill Zane? So many questions were running through my head, that I didn't hear Zane call me. "Are we going in or no?" I nod, knocking on the door. "Who is it?"
"It's Aphmau."
"Oh okay, come in then." I opened the door, walking in. Zane held my hand tight. "You scared?" I ask him. He nods. I hug him. "I promise you'll be okay."
I walk to where Garroth was sitting. "Garroth," he looks at me. Zane hid behind something in the house, he was utterly terrified. "I have someone who wants to say hi. Come on out."
Zane stepped out from behind a wall, awkwardly waving at Garroth. "Hey.." he says.
Garroth stares wide eyed at Zane and I. "Baby brother?" Zane nods. "What are you doing here?"
"I'll leave you two alone. Zane, just come back when you're done."
I walk out of the house to let them talk.

*Aaron's POV*
"You look very handsome." Cadenza says, smiling. "You did an amazing job. Thank you so much."
"Of course! I can't wait for the wedding!" She squeals. I laugh, staring at myself again. "Hey Aaron?" I look back at her. "Yes?"
"Why did it take you two so long?" I gulp, "Aph and I had a few.. disagreements in the past. It caused us to argue and drift apart." She pats my back. "I'm sorry, but think of it this way, you are finally going to be with her forever." She smiles. I smile back, "Yeah. Forever."
