Part Seventeen

"Can you stop ignoring me please?" Baekhyun comes up on my left side

"Do you hear anything Jiao?" I look over to Jioa who's on my right.

"Nope, nothing but the sound of silence" We smile at each other.

"This isn't fair" Baekhyun states.

"What do you want from the bakery Mei?" Jiao asks me.

"I don't know, this will be the first time I've ever gone there" We walk out of the building entering the rough and cold air of the outside world.

"I want a delicous chocolate muffin" Baekhyun adds.

"Yeah...no one cares" I say with as much shade as possible. I've never hated anyone before but if I ever do end up hating someone, that's what i'd say to them on a daily basis.

"Damn Mei, that hurt me" Jiao says shocked then laughs.

"Hey! I wanna come!" We turn around to see who yelled. Zhang Yixing, also known as Lay and Jiao's number one bias, catches up to us.

"Good morning Lay" I greet him with a smlie. Baekhyun's staring at him with death in his eyes. Flirt with her and your dead lamby.

"Goodmorning ladies, Baekhyun" Lay bows to us and looks at Baekhyun, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"No reason, just curious on how you knew where we were" He shrugs off his shoulder. Ah, I get jealous too easily. Lay's my friend and I'm sure he doesn't like her like that. Baekhyun tells himself over and over again.

"Kai...well he told me that Jiao just left for the bakery down the street so" He blushes.

"Were you looking for me?" I look over to Jiao who is smiling like no other.

"Uh- no, I was just wonering what you were doing..." He rubs his hand through his hair.

"That's looking for her" Baekhyun laughs and we start walking again. Yeah, I have nothing to worry about, he clearly has a thing for Jiao. Jiao's day just got a whole lot better.

"What may I get you guys today?" The women behind the counter asks us smiling nervously. I almost forgot that we're walkng around with EXO's Baekhyun and EXO's Lay.

"I'll take a chocolate muffin and a coffee one for her" Baekhyun replies shooting a glance to me.

"How'd you know I liked coffee muffins?" I look at him confused.

"Oh, you told me last night" He brightly smiles.

"What?!" I blush.

"Just kidding. I just asumed you did" He winks. I think my heart just bursted into a million peices. He is so hot! I mean, it's hot in here...

"Here you are sir" The girl behind the counter shoots me a dreadful look, "That'll be 6000 won" Her tone's so harsh. I've never been spoken to with so much hate in my entire life. I'm shocked. Baekhyun's organizing the tray about two feet away from me, so I don't think he noticed.

"Here you go" I hand her the money still smiling. Some people just have off days. It might just be her off day.

"I don't think you have a chance, just saying. He doesn't like plain girls" She looks over to Baekhyun, "Have a nice day Baekhyun" and carries on with her job. What the hell?!

He smiles back at the girl. I slowly walk to our table of four, following behind Baekhyun.

"You okay Mei?" Jiao looks at me worried. I immediently wipe away my fown and smile at her.

"Of course, I'm just hungry" I sit down ignoring what just happened. It's not that everyone likes me, it's just that I've never been hated before, and it kind of hurts.

"The bakery manager looked kind of intense don't you think Baekhyun?" Jiao pesters. She knows why I'm acting strange. She knows pretty much eveything in my book.

"Huh, I didn't really notice" Baekhyun takes a bite of his miffun. I'm just going to act like I didn't hear that girl. Baekhyun thinks to himmself.

His words made my heart sink. I don't know why, because I don't really care about his opinion...well at least thought I didn't.

"Yeah well, I think she seemed nice" I force a smile onto my face.  Lay looks at me worried while Baekhyun just keeps looking down. Jiao notices this and gets heated.

"Yeah, she seemed like she was a fan of EXO, well Baekhyun at least" Baekhyun looks up at Jiao's words.

"I guess you can say that" He smiles at Lay and Jiao, then glances towards me. Did that upset Mei? Ah, I should've said something to that girl...

*5 minutes past of silently eating*

"I'm done eating now, so I'll head back to the hotel. Excuse me" I bow to them smiling and walk out the bakery door. Why do I feel so down about this? She was just a jealous fan, and Baekhyun probably didn't even hear what she said anyways, so why am I upset?

"Mei?! Wait up!" baekhyun shouts from behind. Yet Mei doesn't stop walking, but she doesn't speed up either, "Mei, what's wrong?"

"What? Nothing, I just wanted to get out of there. It's stuffy and not my cup of tea" I smile trying to dismiss the subject.

"Stop walking please" Baekhyun stops infront of Mei. Baekhyun, I just want to be alone for a moment...

"Okay, I stopped"

"Sorry, I should've said something when she said those words to you" He looks down at me. So he did hear it, but just dismissed it...who does that?

"So you heard what she said, yet you acted like you didn't because..." I deam for him to finish the sentence.

"Because I hear stuff like that all the time. I did not think that it was that big of a deal, but now I see it was and I apologize" He explains. Sorry Mei.

"It's fine. I don't even know why I care so much about something as little as that" I look up into his eyes. I can tell that he's sorry, alothough it wasn't even that big of a deal.

Mei walks pass him. Baekhyun waits for Mei to take a few steps.

"You know, I don't think your plain" Baekhyun says loud enough for Mei to hear.

"Oh yeah?" I turn around with a smirk on my face.

"Yeah" Baehyun smiles, and we part ways.
