Part 53

He looks at it strangely, before taking it in his hand. He passes my phone around to the other boys.

"Thank you." Chanyeol hands it back to me.

"What did you do?" I raise my eyebrows, taking my phone back.

"We put both you and Jiao's numbers' into our phones. Hope you don't mind." Chanyeol smiles and I blush.

"Of course not." We all exchange smiles. No one wants today to end, but it's life, and life sucks.

"We're here." The driver stops the car.

We all thank the driver, and unbuckle.

"After you." Suho says, telling Jiao and I to exit the car first.
We slightly bow to him, then climb out of the car only to be blinded by flashing lights. Reporters are all over the place here.

I then turn around and hold out my hand to Jiao to help out the car, she takes it.

"Ladies" A familiar voice calls out to us as the rest of the boys climb out the car. I turn around seeing Lay standing in front of Jiao.
Staring into her eyes as if she's the only girl alive, he holds out his arm to her and she loops hers through his. AH! THEY NEED TO GET MARRIED!
But where's-

"Hey...g-gorgeous" I hear Baekhyun's voice from the right side of me. Jiao and Lay are to my left and the other boys are behind us.

She looks stunning in that tight blue dress of hers. Her hair is curled past her shoulders with earings clinging back and forth as she moves her head. She is unbelievably beautiful - Baekhyun thinks to himself.

I turn to face him. He is wearing the perfect amount of make-up. Not too much, just right. He has his hair curly and swayed across his forehead.
Like Lay, he's wearing an all white suit with a black vest and a white tie. It matches him perfectly just like everything else in this world. He is so handsome.

We stare at each other for what felt like a lifetime, but in an instant we start down the aisle with our arms interlocked just like Lay and Jiao. I can't help but wear a huge smile across my lips. I look up at Baekhyun's face to see him smiling even brighter than me, and it makes my heart shake with emotion.

*They reach the inside of the well populated restaurant, yet the cameras don't stop clicking. Gasps are heard from through out crowd as they see EXO's Byun Baekhyun and Zhang Yixing acquainting two beautiful and famous reporters. Although everyone's shocked and wants to know more about the girls, they give the idols and their women space as they make way to their reserved table for 11*

"Let's make a toast shall we." Suho holds his wine glass up and we do the same, "This has been the best two weeks ever. We've had a lot of fun together and have experienced many new things. I hope we all stay in contact in the future," Suho then fixes his eyes on me only, "Every bad thing that has happened, will build strength." His eyes sharpen in on my soul. He's referring to my brother's...death.
I feel my jaw tighten, so I look away from him.

*The table is a long rectangular one with Suho and Sehun sitting on the ends. The girls are sitting beside their dates and everyone is happy. Except Mei. She can't help but remember her brother's voice*

BAEKHYUN'S POV

Why the hell would he say that knowing she hasn't recovered from Kim Young's death!?
I slide my hand under the table and reach for Mei's thigh. She jumps a bit shocked at my sudden action, but then she relaxes as I find her hands that were shaking. I give her hand a slight squeeze and she squeezes back. I then look at her, and she smiles. A pitiful smile that makes my heart crack.

"So when are you guys going to release your next comeback?" Mei quickly changes the subject, probably to stop herself from crying. She's a strong woman, and she'll get through this, but right now, she's in pain and I don't know how to help. If there even is a way to help...

MEI'S POV

I swallow the lump in my throat after speaking.

"That's a secret" Kai puts his index finger up to his lips and I laugh a bit. I didn't think it was funny, but I really need to laugh right now.

"I think we can make an exception for these ladies though" Suho smiles at me and I smile back. He reminded me of my brother, but he also gave me some realization. My brother might have been a little bitch in some(most) scenarios, but he was one strong boy and I loved him. I'm glad he's out of this cruel world, but it just sucks that he's not with me.

"You know what?" Jiao speaks up, "I think you guys should dance for us" She looks at Lay with a smirk.

"Dance?" Both Chanyeol and Kyungsoo ask confused.

"Yep." She takes a sip from her glass then starts again, "Instead of telling us your release date, just dance to the chorus for us...or better yet, teach it to us." I have a feeling Jiao thought this through.

"I mean it's a pretty complexed dance. Are you sure you two can handle it?" Kai teases us, and it catches my attention.

"We might work for a News company, but you boys have yet to see our hidden talents" I look to Jiao and nod. We are going to blow the away with our dancing skills later.

"Oh, more hidden talents?" Baekhyun says under his breath just loud enough for me to hear. I then push his hand off of mine and hold in my laughter. Baekhyun has one naughty mind.

"Shut up." I quietly say to Baekhyun in English, and he laughs.

"What are you two talking about?" Sehun looks to his right, eyeing Baekhyun.

"The little sanity you have" He smirks and everyone let's out a few laughs.

"My heart hurts" Sehun whines, being over dramatic and it makes me giggle a bit.

All of a sudden my leg vibrates.

"Where are you and Jiao at the moment?"  My boss messages me.

"At the restaurant EXO is at, why? Is everything okay sir?"

"Why are you dining with the EXO members? And why is there already news out about you and Jiao both dating the members Baekhyun and Zhang Yixing? This is a false accusation right?"

I stare at his message for about 5 minutes while everyone orders their food. I told Baekhyun I just wanted Kimchi and rice.
I should've thought about my job. I've been so worried about my feelings and the issues around me, that I didn't even think about the press. I screenshot the boss's message and send it Jiao.

*Mei watches Jiao for a moment, but then gives up when she doesn't look at her phone*

Baekhyun looks over at me, shifting his eyebrows. I nod my head and smile, telling him nothing's wrong. I don't want to tell him right now. Tonight's going good and I don't even know what to do about this.
Before I can even start contemplating and idea, my phone vibrates again.

My heart drops, and Baekhyun nudges me, then whispers into my ear.

"What's wrong?" I notice my face is droopy so I shake my negative thoughts away.

"Nothing, really" I smile. 3 waitresses walk to our table all holding plates full with food I've never seen before.
