Twenty one

"Take a break and go get some lunch or something. I'll meet you in the kitchen when it's my turn to teach you. Everyone but Oliver and Michael are going to be in the lesson as well because they need to learn this stuff as well." Yes, time to relax. Just what I need after this lesson. Wait, I forgotten the way out of here. I'll ask them.

"Can one of you show me where the kitchen is because I have no idea how to get there from here? Oh, and is there a map of this place because I don't know my way around yet." They both chuckle. Why? I don't know. I wonder if any of the others have asked the same thing, probably. "Why are you laughing?"

"Because Alec asked for a map as soon as we got here, Ruby a few hours after him and then Cole did yesterday. Charlie and Carter don't need a map because they've been here before and know their way around. You're the last person to ask for one." Michael said and the frowns. "I owe Oliver a fiver now." How amusing, I thought sarcastically.

"Ha, ha. Can I have a map now? I need food." I said and Finn pulled out a map from his pocket and gave it to me. "Thanks. See you guys later."

Leaving the room, I stood outside and looked at the map. This place is huge. I mean there's big and then there's this place. It has five floors above ground level and that's not including the towers, then there was the five floors below ground level. On the map it shows places which don't have doors or windows and some corridors that don't have entrances. This place has secret rooms and passages. I need to go and find all of the entrances. While I was figuring out the way from here to the kitchen, I overheard something I don't think I was supposed to.

"When are we going to tell her Michael? She needs to know." I think this is about me. What do I need to know? I think I'll listen for a bit.

"Now is not the right time, nor is it the place to tell her. We'll tell her when she needs to know." That doesn't sound good. It also sound like an end of conversation thing, I should go. Using the map, I find my way to the kitchen and raid the fridge. In there was some left overs from last night which looked good. I took some and heated it up.

By the amount of dishes in the sink, the others have already eaten. Once finished, I crossed to the sink and began to wash up. We were guests here, the least we should do is clean up after ourselves. I put all of the plates and things away when I finished and sat back at the table. What did they have to tell me? Whatever it is, it sounds important. I'll have to keep a close eye on those two from now on. After five minutes Carter ran into the kitchen and Charlie came in seconds after him.

"I win, you owe me your pudding!" Laughed Cater doing his victory dance. These lot are crazy. Charlie looked like he was going to throttle Carter but then he remembered why he was here.

"Good lady," he bowed and said in a posh voice, "we are here at the request of Master Finn. He wishes us to escort you to him in the room labeled on your map as the war room. If you would follow is my lady?" Charlie finished and bowed. And these are the people who save the world and fight demons. Carter then catches on to Charlie's joke and joins in.

"My lady, your wish is my command, ask of me what you will." And then he also bowed.

"Real mature boys, lead the way." I said and they faked hurt.

"Why would we ever want to be mature?" Said Carter.

"Where's the fun in it? That's where proper adults go wrong, that's why they're all miserable and boring." They have a point.

"Whatever. Just lead the way." I said and then followed them through the forts long twisting corridors and up a staircase into the heart of the place until we reach a huge iron door marked war room. When we went in, I found Cole was the only missing person. I had little time to wonder because Finn started almost instantly.
