Two Months Later

C h a t  N o i r

I got to prove it to Alya. An Akuma attacked and got Marinette. He wouldn't let go of her. I attacked and he let go. She fell to the ground hard and I caught her and took the blow for her. That was a while ago. I don't know how long. Everything's dark and I don't know where I am or how long I've been like this. I keep hearing voices talking to me. Plagg keeps me company in my head. I know I'm still transformed. Every time it gets a little darker I know it's night and every night I hear crying.

I groan. I groan? I haven't made a sound since I've been like this. My head hurts as a bright ass light hits my face. I blink my eyes open and hear more crying. It's all I've heard for a while. A lot of mumbling of me to get better in the same voice and crying. "Chat? Chat!" I groan and turn my head. Marinette? Her eyes are red and puffy. My head feels dizzy and I close my eyes. "Nurse!" She yells. I can feel people lifting me and then I lie down. My eye is forced open and a bright light is shined into it. "I-is he okay?" Her voice breaks and I feel, water? Water, her tears, fall onto my arm.

"He's had massive brain trauma. We need to get him into surgery, now." The doctor says. The light is gone and I feel a mask go over my mouth and nose. Everything goes dark again.

Next time I wake up another bright light is in my face. I groan and the light is turned down. I open my eyes and it's night. Marinette is holding my hand and I fold it into a fist and hit my head against the hard pillow behind me.  I close my eyes and she sits up and rubs hers. "Chat?" I turn my head and weakly open my eyes. She gasps and hugs me. I wince and she lets go. Tears go down her face. "Chat you had me so worried. I thought you would die." Her voice broke and she held her had to her mouth and cried.

I weakly put my hand on her cheek. She looked at me. I tried to speak but nothing came out. I wiped away the tears on her cheeks and she blushed. The door opened and I groaned at the bright light in the hallway hitting my eyes. "Mr.Noir, you're awake," Mr.Noir? That's new. "I will have a nurse get you some water. I'm Dr.Elizabeth Stewart and I took care of your operation," I lifted a brow. "You had a brain trauma and massive bleeding in your brain. We fixed that. You've been asleep for two months and three days," that long? "Ladybug has came and went and this girl has stayed by your side the entire time," she pointed to Marinette and she blushed. A nurse came in and gave me a glass of water. I drank it all fast and she gave me another. I drank that too. She gave me another and I left it alone. "You'll be able to leave in a few days and you won't be able to speak for a few hours. Your vocal cords were damaged during the battle but we fixed it. Just try saying your name and eat words at first but for now just write things."

I nodded. She just said so much. "Chat," I looked at Marinette. "I was so worried about you."

I held her hand and wrote 'sorry' with my finger on her palm. She blushed when I did a heart. I laughed and ended up coughing. "I'll have someone get you food. For now, just rest." I nodded and she left the room.

I looked at Marinette and picked up her hand, gently kissing her knuckles. I flipped her hand to her palm and did a heart. "I love you too Kitty." She pressed her lips so mine and gently kissed her back.
