Ladybug ran to the Eiffel Tower with tears in her eyes. Chat shouted her name but she kept running. She didn't want to tell them yet but he did it anyway. She collapsed to the ground and tourists ran to her taking pictures. She stood up and swung away to a building. Chat followed her wherever she went. She swung to the field and collapsed to the ground. Alya and Nino chased them on their bikes. Chat walked over to the tree and saw her crying on the bench, her head bundled up into her arms as her body shook. "M-Marinette-"
"Go away! You've done enough damage!" She yelled and he flinched.
"Th-They deserved to know..." Chat whispered, his ears falling flat against his head as he sat on the hill under the willow tree. He held his knees and rested his head on his thighs. Alya and Nino jumped off of their bikes before they stopped and ran to the tree, slowing down as the sounds of sobs and crying got louder. "I'm sorry."
"N-N-No y-y-you're...n-n-not." She heaved out in a sob. She couldn't face him, look at him, talk to him. He hurt her. She wanted this secret, to stay a secret. Their parents already know, that should be enough.
"I am. I shouldn't have told them. You didn't want them to know," Chat Noir let out a shaky sigh as he lightly bit on his lip, pressing his teeth harder on his lip as he held back cries. He didn't want her to ignore him. He loved her, he couldn't stand it that she wouldn't talk to him. "Do you want me to leave?" She stayed quiet. "Ladybug?" Silence. "M'Lady?" He brought his head up as the silence built up. "Marinette?" He turned his head to her, his heart beating faster with every small movement he did. His eyes closed as he let out a short sigh. He looked at the sleeping girl in the Ladybug patterned suit. Alya and Nino lifted the leaves and looked at them. He gently picked her up and sat down on the bench, cradling her in his arms. "I'm so, so sorry."
Ladybug slowly opened her eyes and glared at the cat above her, tears trickling down her red flustered cheeks. "N-N-No. L-Let go o-o-o-of m-m-me." She squirmed in his arms and he held her close. She cried into his leather covered chest and he rubbed her back, kissing her head and whispering sweet things into her ear.
"I'm so sorry Mari. I didn't want to hurt you like this, but, why is it such a big deal? They're our friends," he rubbed her back gently in circles as she hiccuped. "Best friends."
"Th-Three people already know. I-I-I-I just don't want them o-o-or u-us to g-g-get h-hurt." She stammered. He gently took her chin in his hand and lifted her head. Her eyes were flooding of an electric blue that slowly turned grey.
"It's just people who could cover for us if we're late for class or miss school due to an akuma. Princess," she looked down and away from him. His voice was so soothing to her but the tears still flooded down her face. "I know you don't want them to know, but they deserve it." She hated that he was right. She dug her head into his shoulder and soon her body went numb in his arms. He sighed but lightly smiled at her small snores. He gently picked her up and walked out from under the tree and saw Alya and Nino.
"We won't tell, promise." Alya showed the video she recorded and deleted it and Nino did the same. Chat silently thanked them and they went back to Marinettes house to wait for her to wake up.
