Chat knocked on her trapdoor and she swung it open and pulled him in. She closed the trapdoor and collapsed in a puddle of tears on him. He held her close and leaned on her pillows while she leaned on him, crying into his shoulder and sitting on his lap. She cried into his shoulder and he comforted her. "Hey, it's okay. It's okay." He whispered to her and she cried harder.

"I-I almost died," she cried into him and he held her closer. Sabine walked up into her room, hearing the crying. "I-I almost died. I-I-I-I d-d-d-don't w-w-w-want to d-d-d-d-die." She heaved and cried into him again.

"Hey. You won't die. I won't let you die," he comforted her and Tom joined Sabine on the stairs to Marinette room. He kissed the top of her head. "I would never let you die. I love you too much to let you go that easily." She looked up at him. She pressed her lips to his and his eyes widened but he soon kissed her back. She lied on top of him and he felt her unzipped his suit. He let go of her.

"Chat." She kissed him again and unzipped his suit more. He pushed her away again.

"Marinette no," he zipped his suit back up. "I'm only kidding around. I'm not ready and you're waiting. I won't ruin that for you."

She bit her lip and nodded. "S-Sorry but w-with an e-experience like that I re-realized how short life was."

"But we're sixteen," he inhaled. "We kinda have our whole lives ahead of us. We don't have to move so fast." He laughed and giggled and leaned her head on his chest. He sat up and held her on his lap. She cried again.

"I don't want to die."

"I told you, I won't let you die. Not now, not ever. I'll die protecting you. Not the other way around."

"What no!" He looked at her. "You're not going to die! I can't-"

"Marinette, one day, I will die before you. And when that day comes, you'll have to move on." She cried more.

"I-I-I can't live without you Chat," Marinette cried into his chest. "Please, don't die."

He sighed but a small smile tugged at his lips. "I won't, not yet anyway." He kissed the top of her head and she cried into him. Sabine pursed her lips and knocked on the trapdoor.

Marinette gasped. "Y-You have to go."

"What why? Everyone knows we're dating and has for like a year!"

"B-But my parents haven't meet you, not properly anyway. They need to see if you're good for me."

"Marinette, I've saved your life a thousands times and almost died for you. I think I'm good." He chuckled and she bite her lip.

Sabine knocked again. "Marinette, can we come in?" Sabine asked and Mairnette gulped.

"Please, go."

he saw the pain in her eyes. He couldn't leave her alone, not this broken. "No, I'm staying." Marinette bit her lip and nodded.

"Y-Yeah. Come on in Maman." She rubbed her eyes and her parents walked into her room. She leaned over to the door from her bed, Chat still unseen.
