She was right there!

Suzanne was there! I could not believe the fact that she was here. She and David had been talking to each other and by the looks of it, it must have been some time since she came. It was quite surprising because she was the last person I expected to visit David. Many different weird thoughts were entering my mind.

Many questions exploded inside my small head and I was confused. It kept recurring in my mind. If she was really behind all of these then I do not think she will came to visit David. I was thinking about my accusation and whether I did the right thing or not to just blindly accuse her of trying to kill David.

My mind was all clouded from this thinking. David was so engrossed in the conversation with Suzanne that he did not notice us. Funny how one can be so oblivious when talking to that one person whom you like. The room felt hazy. My eyes got a little bit blurry and I just sat down on the chair next to David's bed.

Thud!

A loud noise attracted David as I crashed on the floor. I was so lost in my thoughts that I failed to notice the exact location of the chair. It must have been funny as everyone surrounded me and a wave of laughter filled the ward.

Everyone was laughing at me when Luke offered me his hand and helped me up. This was what i needed to get back to my senses. A huge and loud fall. As soon as the laughter died down, Suzanne got up and said,

"Hey David, I got to go now. I shall see you soon again! Get well soon"

She grabbed her purse and left from there. She had gotten him quite a few gifts but they were all wrapped so there was no telling of what was inside there. I wanted to ask David about the gifts and Luke gave me a nudge and whispered to me to not ask him. Not just yet. Weird it may seem but I did not as usual go against anything he said.

Luke was a really nice guy and the past few days had really got me to respect him as a human and more importantly as a friend. He was a nice guy with a witty sense of humor. He was there whenever I needed him to be there and this was a great example of how he fulfilled his responsibilities of being a good friend.

David was there on his bed. He looked rather pale that day. He looked like he was never ate for the past few days.

"How are you feeling bro?" Luke asked.

Luke calling David "bro" sounded rather odd considering that they barely knew each other. This was probably the new start of a very much new friendship between the two of them.

David replied," Hey I'm doing great. Just missing all the food i used to eat. The hospital food here is driving me nuts."

I had to agree with him regarding the food. Once my mom was very sick and she was admitted in the hospital. My dad was all the way at Korea and it she was my responsibility. I stayed with her at the hospital for 5 straight days. I know what type of food they served. A bowl of rice, one loaf of bread, a filthy bowl of boiled salad which I despise and some random type of fruit that varied from day to day. So when I say that hospital food is really bad, i really mean it.

We talked about the progress on the investigations and what we had found out from David's mechanic. He was really happy that we had made significant progress on the investigation. We talked for a very long time and also ordered some fast food so that we could secretly treat him. The doctor had strictly disallowed him from any contact with food from outside. We manage to secretly sneak in the food form the fast food joint that he liked to eat from.

We spend the evening talking about all the random things in life and then there was David who kept on talking about Suzanne's sudden visit and how he felt like this was a sign from god and all these romantic crap that people say when they are in love. Then, i asked him a question that we should have asked earlier.

"Guys, How Is it that Suzanne knows? I did not tell anyone. No one at all. Then how did she know? Luke did you inform her?"

Luke gave me a shocked stare. Probably cause he could not analyze and process what i had just said.

He managed to just deny. I knew he was not lying. Partially for the fact that his expression had said it all. He had never looked so confused before. Or maybe it was weird that I thought he might have known. Whatever it was, it really did not matter because the only thing that mattered now was to get the answer to my question.

That is when David started talking...
