20 minutes...

We stood there for a good 20 minutes not doing anything. We were trying to get a complete mental picture of what might have happened. So far, nothing significant had popped up. Luke then spoke up. For that one second, I really thought he had a mental picture but looks like I was wrong.

"Omar, I have an idea. Want to try?"

"Sure! I am open to just anything right about now." a little hope emerging in me.

He went on, "We should try to come up with scenarios."

He paused. Simply trying to examine my facial expression. He figured I had no clue to as what he was talking about and continued,

"What i mean is that, there are many ways this accident might have happen. For example, it might be a conspiracy. Or it might be an accident. Then, if it was a conspiracy, how would they have carried out the whole operation? There might even be more than one person involved in this."

It took some time but I managed to figure out what he had meant. Like i said, I was open to ideas and did not hesitate to try out what he had asked me to try. Many ideas suddenly flushed through my mind. For the first time today, I could really think of ways the accident might have happen. To make sure we can share what we think of, Luke and I decided to write them down.

We spent around two hours just writing. By then it was lunch and no one cooked so we just decided to order some food. While waiting for the order to arrive, we continued doing what we were doing. It was fun 'cause we could extend and pull our imagination to the maximum. It started to seem as if we were competing with each other to see who could come up with the weirdest imaginations.

By the end of the third hour, we had dozens of ideas each and thankfully our food had arrived so we took the time off to savor the delicacies we had ordered. Luke felt like eating Thai so that was what was on the menu. As we enjoyed the delicious bowl of Tom Yam and Pad Thai, we decided to go over the ideas that we had formed by juicing out all of our imagination.

We had a lot of different ideas that came to our mind. Some seeming logical, some seeming out of the world. A few ideas actually stood out. One was the obvious one. Whoever was the mastermind and whoever orchestrated the whole accident is just one person and that one person is whom we are looking for. Besides that, we had a few other ideas.

One of the many ideas we had was that there were more than one people involved in this. In a sense, it was just conspiracy. Another one that seemed logical was that it was just an accident. Yes! We knew that it was not but we were sick and tired trying to solve something this difficult.

Without police help, it was a very hard task. Day by day we kept on getting a new clue but it would just drag us back to square one. We will be again back at the exact place where we started off. On the better days, we will make a little progress but then we will not get something to proceed on. We keep on telling David that we have something every time we meet and indeed truthfully we had something at that point but it will just lead us back to square one.

We felt like giving up. Partially because we were sick and tired of doing this again and again without us getting any outcome and partially because we just wanted our lives to become normal. I told myself, "David is alright. Lets just end this once and for all."

Then I get this wave of guilt that flow through me and I rethink my decision. I was just sick and tired of this. All I wanted was a nice vacation but it all got ruined. I just felt like crying out all my problems. This is one of these times when you really miss your mother and just wish she was here to guide you out of your misery. My heart just felt heavy. Maybe I needed a little break and therefor, I told Luke,

"Dude, lets go out"

He figured I was tired and he said, "Lets go shopping. What say? We could buy something for David too"

"That is an excellent idea. Alright! Lets go!"

I called up David and asked him if he needed anything. Being the humble man he was, he declined my offer to purchase anything for him. He just told me to meet up with him after the shopping was done. I agreed to this small request of his.

With that, we left for the shopping mall...
