Broken Solitude [Lapidot]

Alone

-Peridot's POV-

I finally set foot inside my new school

I came here to escape from Homeworld high, to escape from the people there

I make it to my class and I just blankly introduced myself

Taking in the room I notice a familiar face

Jasper

She was... interesting in elementary school but that didn't matter now

What interested me is the blue girl sitting beside her, though at this point shouldn't bother me

As the classes go by no one really talked to me, which is good for me

But that blue girl just happens to be in all my classes

It's finally the end of the day and I just walk home, alone

Just the bitter silence as I walk

Making it home I look around, as if there was someone here... it's just me and my mom who lives here but Yellow Diamond does alot of work back at homeworld so it's usually just me, what's new...

It's been like this for as long as I can remember, never talking to anyone, not making any friends, only bullies

Over time in early elementary school it built up to the point where I had cried really hard, but of course no one came to help me, not even my own mother

I just go to my room to play some video games, while I am smart, I need something fun in my life

-Later-

It's been hours and I start to get hungry, figuring my mom won't be home for a while longer, I take my keys and go out

I take a leisurely stroll towards a cafe nearby that I really enjoyed eating at

Arriving there, I order a apple fritter and a hot chocolate and take a seat while I wait for my food

Once it finally came I was about to take a bit of my food when I hear the chimes of the door opening

"Just the usual please!" I hear a person order

Turning me head slightly, I see in the corner of my eye that its that blue girl from my classes

I turn my head towards the window to prevent eye contact

-Lapis' POV-

I look around while I wait for my food to arrive, until I see a familiar face, looking out the window, Peridot

Deciding to talk, I walk over to her table

"Uhm, h-hello, Peridot" I couldn't help but stutter, wondering if she even knew me

But she didn't even take her eyes off from the window

Not giving up, I take a seat right infront of her and I see her eyes looking towards me, but not moving my head

"Oh! I haven't introduced myself, I'm Lapis Lazuli!"

"Good to know" was all she said

Oh boy making friends with this girl is gonna be tough...
