Broken Solitude [Lapidot]

-Peridot's POV-

It's been a month now, since school started, since I met Lapis, Lapis Lazuli

She is the best person I ever met in my life, and the best thing too, is that she had broken me out of my solitude

She and her friends have helped me to become more social and a better person

She's a great person all around! Kind, caring, wacky... beautiful... she makes me want to be with her always...

I think I love her...

I can't tell her that though! I can't... not after last time...

But that's just in the past!

Besides, I doubt Lapis would even like a girl... Hehe...

-Weeks later-

-In class-

I was sitting, going through my thoughts while Lapis kept rambling on about pets and how she'd like one, naming all the kinds of animals and types/ breeds

In the midst of me thinking, I turn to see her and I couldn't help but stare, I felt a blush crawling on my cheeks

I finally snap out of it when Lapis waves a hand infront of me

"Uhhh earth to Peridot?" (More like HOMEWORLD to Peridot! Hahaha! Anyone? No? Okay nvm...)

Realizing I've been staring for too long I just stumble over my own words

"Y-yeah?"

"Are you okay Peridot? You seem kinda out of it"

"Y-yeah! Totally a-okay!"

"Alright if you say so..."

Just when she finished talking, the bell rings for lunch

As we walk towards our usual location, I felt extremely nervous, today was the day I was going to confess to Lapis!

As we make it outside we see no one under the tree, maybe the others got caught up in the cafeteria

We sit down and after a few minutes pass I open my mouth

"L-lapis!"

"Yes Peridot?"

"I want to say something!"

"Yes?"

"I just wanted to say... to-to say that... I have a c-" I was interrupted by Lapis placing a finger on my lips, which made me blush a bit

"Yeah yeah, that's cool, hold on for a minute!"

-Lapis' POV-

I interrupt Peridot while she was speaking which was kinda rude, but I had to

I was looking at someone, a guy who was walking alone around the Campus, this guy is Jake, he's a hot guy who has the smarts and the athletics

This guy was my crush

"Oh Jake... oh how hard I'm crushing on you"

Once he stepped out of my sight, I remove my finger from Peridot's lips

I speak as I turned my head towards her, " So what were you saying Peri-?..."

I stop midway on her name when I see her staring at the ground

She looked like she was holding back, like she was on the verge of tears

Suddenly we hear a familiar call

"Hey guys! Didja guys start eating without us?... Peridot..? Are you okay?" Amethyst asks

All Peridot did was stand up

"Im fine... I need to do something... somewhere" and just like that, she ran off

What is wrong with her?
