Broken Solitude [Lapidot]

Restless Morning

-Lapis' POV-

Waking up I stretch and look around to see Peridot on the floor sleeping peacefully

I grab my phone and check the time to see its 6 AM right now

Deciding I literally cannot go back to sleep now, I get up and go downstairs to the kitchen

As I start making some breakfast I remeber the conversation that Peridot and Jasper had last night

Soon enough, my mind starts wandering just from thinking about the conversation

I still couldn't believe that Peridot has a crush on me, I mean, we're great friends! We hang out basically everyday and do a bunch of random stuff, but how could she fall for me?

How am I supposed to process this?

-Peridot's POV-

I slowly wake up and see that Lapis is out of bed so it was just me in the room

After last night's talk with Jasper, it left me thinking about Lapis and how I should tell her how I feel, like what's the worst that could happen?!

(Here enters Peridot's mind)

Well for starters she could take your confession with disgust, completely reject you in the face and then ignore you for days to come and another girl that made you happy will turn her back on you and leave you behind!

Ughhh that was the worst

*Facedesk*

(And that was the inside of Peridot's mind)

Right when I did a mental facedesk I slowly moved my head forward and fell over, like I was expecting a desk infront of me

Man I am the worst at scenarios

I grab my glasses from the side table and make my way downstairs where everyone is talking and eating breakfast

All I did was sit down in the only empty seat of the table and silently eat while thoughts run through my head

Once everyone finished eating they all moved to the living room while I had my head, resting on my hand

Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by a voice

"You know everyone is in the other room Peridot"

"Sorry, just needed to think"

"Is it about what we talked about last night?"

"Maybe"

"Well like I said, you better yell her someday, till then, I'll be here to help you when you need"

"Thanks Jasper, let's go"

I walk into the living room, Jasper following me, while the others talked of what we should do next

"I got it!" Exclaimed Amethyst

"Tonight, we watch a horror movie"
