Chapter 40

We lost, we didn't get the championship and now we're all upset.

"Ly, it's okay. I know, we all know that you did your best. It's not your fault, it's nobody's fault." Kiefer said while hugging me.

I can't keep my tears from falling down. Another dissapointment for Alyssa Valdez. I hugged Kiefer back because I know right now I need a shoulder to cry on.

"Shhhhh.. It's okay. I'm still proud of you." He said again and open the door of the car para maihatid nya na ako.

Habang nasa byahe kami ay hawak lang ni Kief ang left hand ko at tumitingin tingin din sya sakin and ngumingiti.
I appreciate how he patiently deals with my swings and emotions. I'm very lucky to have him.

We reached my condo, nagpark sya sa tapat and bumaba para buksan ang pinto sa side ko.

"Kief, I'm okay na. You can go na din, para di ka matraffic." Sabi ko.

"No, I'll walk you to your unit. I insist" He said.

I just nod and started to walk. I'm not in the mood to quarrel with anyone right now.

And before I knew, we're here na sa tapat ng pinto ko. He held my hand dahilan para mapaharap ako sa kanya. I look at his eyes at nakita ko kung gaano sya ka-worried sakin.

"Ly, it's okay. Goodnight. You're still the best, wag mo na isipin yun ha. Matulog ka na, take a rest . I know pagod ka, if you need anything, just call me ha. I'm only one call away." He said then smile.

"Yes. I will." I answered.

Ngumiti sya sakin and hindi ko na napigilang yakapin sya ng sobrang higpit.

"Thank you, Kief. Thank you for everything. I don't really know what to do kung wala ka. Thank you sa pagpapagaan ng loob ko." I said between our hugs.

"It's okay,Ly. You know naman na ayokong nakikita kang malungkot diba? I will always do everything to make you happy." He answered.

We broke our hugs and smiled at each other.

"Go na Ly, pasok ka na. Goodnight." He said again and kiss me in my forehead.

"And.. please no social media muna ngayon ha. Don't open any of your accounts, sige na. I'll go na, goodnight again." Pahabol nya

"Yes po." I answered politely na parang bata.

Pumasok na ako sa unit ko and I can't help but smile because of what he did. His kiss and his words makes my entire body alive again.

Masakit matalo pero ang sarap pala sa feeling na may isang tao sa paligid mo na magpaparamdam sa'yo na hindi ka nagiisa and still, naniniwala pa din sa kakayahan mo. And that is,Kief.

"Kailangan kong bumawi kay Kiefer." Sabi ko sa sarili ko when I remembered what he did.

I think I made the right decision to continue what Kief and I have. He still makes me happy, he still knows how to make me smile, and last is, he still knows the way through my heart to make it calm and okay.

Nag quick shower ako and nagbihis. Nagdasal ako and I started to close my eyes. Natulog ako ng nakangiti, at sana gigising din ako ng may ngiti.
