Christmas

by Sophia Cac

It's a BIG surprise,
feeling my mood rise.
I woke up this morning,
thoughts of regret already roaming.
Yet, something pulled me up,
saying it's time to get up
and make the day better,
for the day has something to offer.

With a smile, I ate my meal with delight.
I ran half a mile and felt the weight in my shoulder be light.
The day was sunny bright
and brought joy for my sight.

It was something unusual,
but I took the chance and act like the usual.
I headed to the party with hopes,
excitement flow into my veins as some happy thoughts in my head, which I cope.
At first there was few,
but soon it was getting blue.

I tried to think of something,
so then I decided to do one thing.
I put up the speakers,
and talked to the dancers.

They agree, so we plan the afternoon.
After our meal, the plan will be act soon.
The speaker starts to play the tone, it boom,
and cheers filled the room.
We dance carelessly, getting the attention of others.
We tag our friends to the dance floor, telling them to dance like no other.

The laughter and happiness begin to bounce into the walls,
the dancing and cheering could be hear down into hell,
if it was only possible.
Everyone had made the impossible,
those who oath they couldn't dance,
dance into the floor with grace.

We made the day so real and entertaining,
never forgotten it will be for eternity.
Oh, how dearly I hope it will be.
For those laughter echoes in my ears,
memories flashing into my eyes, it will be for years.

This year's Christmas Party will roam into my mind,
for the God have been so kind
to give me another chance to only think of fun.
I shall treasure this until then,
for it shown that dark storm would lead us into a bright day.
