*the next day*

Ezra's P.O.V

Kanan and Hera told me that the house was bombed during the fight. It made me feel sad for them and I was a bit depressed too. The two found a new house today and we were going to go see it. Copper drove us cause the Ghost was also destroyed in the bombing.

Copper parked the car and we exited it. I looked at the house and saw that it was different but it still had that homey touch. We looked around the house in amazement. This house was a bit bigger than the other but sometimes, change can be a good thing.

I learned this from Hera and Kanan that it's ok to change. I had to finally admit to myself that it was since yesterday.

'It was mostly me though.'

'Great, who invented common sense to the party?'

'I crashed the party, hehe thug life.'

I rolled my eyes and walked through the halls beside Kanan. I was near him the whole time we looked around the house. At first, I was nervous when we entered and stayed by Kanan. I still was nervous and a bit shy to the new surroundings. Kanan didn't mind me being near him.

It was like he knew that I was a bit scared of this place. I didn't know until the night that me and Kanan talked that I felt more safe when I'm around him. So I stayed a bit close at times when I'm feeling like this. I was happy every time that he didn't mind.

I followed Kanan to a room and he opened the door. "This will be your room," he said and we both walked in to look around. "Coooolll," I said looking around the room and I heard Kanan chuckle from my excitement. The walls were a calm sky blue with nice wooden floor. There was a closet on the left side of the room and a window straight ahead from the door.

"I'm going to take a wild guess and say you like it," Kanan said and I nodded smiling. He smiled and ruffled my hair. I pushed away his hand still with a smile on my face. "Boys!" Hera called and we went downstairs to find her in the living room. "I think we need a little bit of a nice walk in the woods," Hera said smiling.

Me and Kanan were wide eyed. "Hera, you know that it's illegal to go beyond the fence," Kanan tried to reason with her. I could tell that he wanted to go though and I did too. The woods was always the place for me to calm down. I would take her word for it, we all needed something to get our minds off of everything.

I tugged on Kanan's sleeve, getting his attention. I smiled and nodded to agree with Hera on going. "Ok fine, I guess we can go but we'll have to be sneaky," Kanan whispered. "Why are you whispering, dear?" Hera said with a raised eyebrow and hands on her hips. "I don't know, I guess sometimes, I feel like we're being watched," he said looking around the room.

Now that Kanan mentions it, I did have a strange feeling of being watched when I came to the wealthy side. "You to are so paranoid," Hera chuckled, shaking her head, "come on."

We followed Hera and put our stuff on before leaving the house. We walked to 'the edge' and I heard a buzzing sound coming from it. I stopped the two from getting any closer. "Why did you stop us?" Kanan asked. I picked up a rock and threw it at the fence. It gave off an electrical zap, barbecuing the rock in the process.

A hand laid on my shoulder and I looked up to see Kanan. "We would have been cooked if you hadn't stopped us," he said, "thank you." I blushed and sheepishly scratched the back of my head. I grabbed Kanan's hand and tugged him along. "Woah Ez, where are we going?" Kanan said with Hera following.

We made it all the way to the plaza and I finally let go of Kanan's arm. "Sor-ry," I said feeling bad about dragging Kanan all the way to the plaza. Hera came up and joined us. "It's ok Ezra, just please don't drag me all the way from the fence to the plaza," he said. I nodded and gestured for them to follow me. They did and were curious on where I was taking them.

A growl came from my stomach and getting both adults attention. "Someone hungry?" Hera said and I nodded. "Let's get us something to eat," Kanan said. "We should eat on the water fountain," Hera suggested. I sat down and gestured for the two to go get some food. "Are you saving our spot?" Hera asked and I nodded. "We'll get you something," Kanan said and the two walked off to get some food.

I sat and waited for my guardians to return. "Hello Emile," I heard a voice that was way to familiar. I looked over to where the voice came from and saw Zeb and his friends. I stood up and backed away in fear. "Oh, where do you think you're going there?" Zeb said. I backed up and bumped into someone. I looked over my shoulder to see one of Zeb's pals.

I looked for any means of escape but there were none. I was surrounded and in the middle of trouble. "You think that last time you got out easily but now you will pay the price you little brat!" Zeb spat. I was getting nasty gleeful snickers from Zeb's friends. 'This isn't going to end well,' I thought as the group closed in on me.

"Get him!" Zeb commanded and his pals started to punch, kick, and any other form of pain that they could do. I could smell alcohol come from them and assumed that they were drinking. It was a whole lot worse when they were drunk. "Stop," Zeb said getting confused glances from his friends. I thought it was over until I heard, "Make him stand and hold him up by his arms."

Two of his friends picked me up and held my arms tightly. I looked and saw some troopers and I could tell that they saw what was going on but didn't care about it. I looked back at Zeb, who was smiling devilishly at me and pulled out a knife from his pocket. I struggled to get out of there tight grip but they didn't budge.

Zeb walked up to me still with the same creepy smirk and alcoholic breath that burned my nose. "You ready punk," Zed said right in my face. I was really scared and searched for Kanan and Hera but they were no where in sight. I looked back at Zeb and saw him pull the knife back. Then with all his force, he brought it at me and plunged the knife into my stomach.

I screamed so loud that the two holding me let go and plugged there ears. "HEY!" I heard a voice then I saw Zeb and his friends run off. "We'll meet again, Emile," Zeb shouted and ran off. I laid on the ground holding my stomach in pain. I probably had bruises and scratches but the worst was the stab wound.

I felt tears stream down my face and a puddle of blood form under me, getting bigger by the minute. It was getting hard to breath then I saw someone kneel beside me. Ezra, are you ok," someone's voice echoed and my vision was getting blurry. "Ezra!" The same voice called again but I blacked out. To my relief, the pain went away and I felt at peace.
