Ezra's P.O.V
That same question kept running through my head over and over again. The question was never answered though and it was hard to remember the memory. It was such a long time ago and I think I was still two years old! How can I remember so much from when I was so little?
I had an answer for that question. Those were some of the memories that I still had with my parents. I wanted to remember some of the times together with them and now I did but not the good memories.
I snapped out of my thoughts when the door opened. I looked over to see Kanan standing at the door. "Foods done," he said then asked, "Can you walk?" I shrugged my shoulders and tossed the blanket off of me. I sat up slowly and threw my legs off the side of the bed so they could dangle. Kanan came into the room and stood near by in case I needed assistance.
I nervously rubbed my fingers against my palm and counted down. '3.......2.........1,' my feet touched the cool surface of the floor and I pushed my self up to stand. Good news was that I stood. Bad news was it wasn't for long. The pain in my stomach began and I winced. I would have fallen, if Kanan wasn't there to catch me.
"I gottcha," he said and I leaned against him to help reduce the pain to walk. Me and Kanan slowly made our way to the door but the hard part was the stairs. It took a while to go down them and now making me wonder why I didn't lay on the couch downstairs. We finally made it to the bottom of the stairs and made our way to the kitchen.
Kanan opened the door and I saw Hera filling our plates. She set them on the table then smiled at us. "Hello boys," she chirped while Kanan helped me sit in a seat. "Th-ank yo-u," I said and Kanan nodded back saying, "Your welcome."
'After we're done eating, it would be smart to mention to lay on the couch,' my common sense said.
'No duh,' I said in an obvious tone and mentally rolled my eyes.
'Well someone's a bit stabby,'
I winced at the last word and thankfully, Hera and Kanan didn't notice.
'Ok, again, wrong choice of words,'
'YA THINK!'
"Ezra, you ok?" I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard Kanan talk. I looked at him and said, "Wha-t?" "I asked if you were ok," Kanan repeated and I nodded my head. It was half truthful, I was still debating some things in my head but I will forget it later, I think.
Kanan gave me a look but let it slid and kept on eating. I kept eating Hera's amazing triangle shaped food with red circles and melted cheese. The three of us ate in awkward silence. "So.....," Hera started and tried to think of something to say but couldn't think of anything.
Me and Kanan waited for Hera to say something but she still couldn't think of anything. "So what?" Kanan asked. "So...," Hera started again and finally thought of something, ".....so what lovely weather we're having." I raised an eyebrow and looked out the window.
'Oh yeah, the rain makes everything lovingly gloomy.'
'Do you ever know when to just shut up?'
'Won't you like to know.'
'Actually yes, yes I do.'
'Hehe, you sound like you're getting married.'
I ignored my common sense after it said that. I turned back to find Kanan holding back his laughter. Whoever said the laughter is contagious was right cause now I was holding mine back too. Hera smiled and kept eating her food. "The loveliest dear," Kanan said, which made me giggle.
"Hey, at least I'm making conversation unlike a certain leprechaun sitting across from me," Hera replied. I didn't know what a leprechaun was but it sounded funny. Kanan gave a 'hurt' look and me and Hera laughed. Kanan rolled his eyes and put his and my dishes in the sink.
Hera put hers in sooner and they helped me up. "Let's put you on the couch," Kanan said and I nodded. He helped me up and walked to the living room. He set me on the couch and Hera came a bit later with the statues.
"I couldn't find the bear statue," Hera said, "Do you know where it is?" I remember throwing it but couldn't remember where at so I shook my head no. "Alright, then you're going to have to use these until we find it," she said and I nodded my head, thanking her with a smile.
Hera left the living room and Kanan sat beside me. I grabbed the first statue and remembered what it was called, "Kitty." "Yep," Kanan said, approving of my answer. I kept doing the same thing with the other statues and Kanan either nodded or said something of approving that it was right.
We made it through all the statues and I smiled when I had them all right. "Good job, Ezra," Kanan said proudly, "You got them all correct." My smile widen but then it disappeared when the ground started to shake and the power went off.
