Kanan's P.O.V

The ground stopped shaking and me and Ezra both stood up. The power was still out and I could hardly see a thing. I gently grasped Ezra's shoulder when I found it, so I knew that he was with me. "Hera!" I called through the house to make sure she was ok. "Coming love," Hera responded and soon I saw lights dance on the walls. Then Hera came around the corner and flashed the flashlight towards us.

"Are you both ok?" She asked and came over with another flashlight in hand. She handed it to me and I gladly took it, turning it on. "We're fine," I said, calming Hera a bit. Then the ground started to shake again and we all kept our balance. I felt something hit the top of my head and looked up to see the ceiling cracking.

"We need to get out of here, now!" I yelled and urged the two towards the door. We used the walls or other things to keep our balance to get to the door. I opened the door, letting the two out before me. Once they were out, I got out just in time to watch the house collapse. The shaking stopped again. Dust bursted when the house fell and we coughed, walking away from the cloud of dust.

When the coast was clear, I looked over at the now layered with dirt woman and boy. I supposed that I was too but that wasn't my main concern right now. "Are you both ok?" I asked and Hera nodded but Ezra seemed weary. "Ezra?" I asked then the boy fell to the ground and let out a yelp of pain.

Me and Hera were next to him in a flash and knelt down next to him. Ezra's face was scrunched up in pain and I laid his on my lap. Hera was looking for what caused Ezra to collapse. She scanned him until she looked at his leg. She held her hand on her mouth, "Oh my." "What?" I asked. Hera looked at me then Ezra. She glanced back at me then told me, "Let him hold your hand, this is going to hurt."

I nodded without questioning her and held onto Ezra's hand. Ezra looked up at me with fear in his eyes. "Hey," I said gently and brushed my fingers through his hair to calm him, "It's going to be alright." Ezra nodded and I signaled for Hera to did what she's gotta do. Hera nodded and started to do something painful. Ezra was gripping onto my hand tightly and let out some painful moans.

"Done," Hera said and Ezra relaxed and let go of my hand. Hera held up a piece of glass that was half covered in blood. She tossed it aside and ripped the right sleeve off of her shirt. Hera put the inside of the sleeve out and wrapped it around Ezra's calf. "Let's put you on my back," I said suddenly and Hera agreed.

I sat in front of Ezra and Hera helped him onto my back. I stood up and put my hands under him to support him. I finally took a look around the city and saw other house demolished. 'What happened,' I thought looking around and saw other people who were in shock.

"W-wher-e ar-e we g-going to g-go?" Ezra asked in a rasped voice, "a-nd w-what happened?" "I don't know," I replied truthfully. I looked over at Hera, who was eyeing something on the street. "What do you see?" I asked her. "That man whole cover was taken off," she said and walked over to it and looked inside the sewer. I raised an eyebrow then heard Hera gasp.

"What is it?" I asked. "It's a military grad quaker or MGQ for short," she explained. MGQ's are devices that have to be at least five feet under ground and if you have a bunch, it can cause earthquakes that can split the land in two. (Btw: I made it up)

"W-what's t-that?" Ezra asked. "It's something that can make the earth shake," I explained and Ezra nodded understanding. Hera put the cover back on the the whole and we walked down the streets to the plaza. When we entered the plaza, I felt Ezra moving around a bit. "Are you alright?" I asked.

He didn't reply. "Ezra, are you ok?" I asked. I heard him hum in approval but something wasn't right. That's when I heard the yelling on the other side of the plaza. We all looked over and saw a huge angry mob at the entrance on the poor section, yelling and screaming at them. Luckily, the was closed and no one could enter it.

"Attention! Attention!" The voice came from the huge monitors and Kallus's face appeared on it. "Please calm down," he said and everyone was quiet, listening. "We know that the poor has done some horrible things and they will be punished at the dome tomorrow," Kallus said and the screens turned off. The poor section didn't like the news and now they were the ones trying to get into the plaza.

The wealthy left with wicked smiles a laughs. What was wrong with these people?! I glared at the wealthy crowd and watched them leave off to somewhere. "What's the dome?" I asked Hera and she shrugged her shoulders. Me and Hera were sort of new to this evil place so we hardly knew anything about it.

I heard Ezra whimper behind me and I walked over to the fountain. I sat him done on the edge and me and Hera looked at him. It seemed like he was trying to hide himself. "Ezra what's wrong?" I asked and laid a hand on his shoulder. He was shaking a lot and was scared, pained, guilty for the poor section.

"Ezra?" Hera asked from behind me, "What's the dome?" Ezra looked at us with fear in his eyes and kept glancing at the poor section. "Ezra," I said sternly and he looked at us then mumbled something. "Could you say that again but louder," Hera asked. Ezra stared us straight in the eye and said something that made my heart sink.

"T-he d-dome is w-where yo-u g-o t-to die," he said. My eyes widen and I muttered under my breath, "it's a death sentence, a huge massacre." But Ezra was still shaking and seemed to find the ground interesting, doing his nervous habit. Was there more than he was saying? "Ezra, what are you not telling us?" I asked. He looked up at us, now with worry in his eyes.

"Ezra?" Hera said. Ezra gathered his thoughts before speaking, "we're g-going to d-die." Ezra then started to silently cry.
