Ezra's P.O.V

I woke up feeling ten times more better than last night. I sat up in bed and memories from yesterday came to mind. I couldn't believe that two wealthy people actually cared about a thing like me. Then my eyes scanned the room in a daze. Was I really going to do this? Was I really going to try and trust wealthy people?

A couple minutes later, the door opens to reveal Hera. "Good morning," she said smiling. I smiled back and waved 'hi'. Hera walked into the room and sat on the edge of the bed. "Kanan is still asleep,"Hera whispered, "How about we go make a surprise breakfast?". I raised an eyebrow and thought this through. Is she going to make me do all the cooking? I looked in Hera's eyes and couldn't help to see the hope in her eyes.

I made my decision by nodding my head yes. She smiled again and gestured me to be quite and follow her. I did as I was told and followed. We quietly made our way downstairs and into the kitchen. "Can you get a bowl and pan over there?" She asked pointing at a cupboard. I went over and opened the cupboard. I looked around at all the different kitchen pots and pans but what one did Hera want?

I nervously grabbed two things and walked over to Hera. She looked at the things smiling and laughing a little. I was confused by this and kind of scared. "I probably should have been a little more specific," she said and pointed to an object in my hand. "That's a pot," Hera said and pointed to the other, "and that's a mixer". I looked down at the two things then back at Hera.

She gestured me to come over to the cupboard and so I did. Hera had taken the things out of my arms then put them back and took to other things out. "This is a bowl and this is a pan," Hera explained pointing at both of the things.

We started to make breakfast and Hera had another job that I could do. "How about you mix the dough," she said and I started to stir. Hera started on something else. I was doing pretty good until the bowl fell off of the counter and broke leaving a mess on the floor. Now I've done it, I'm going to be kicked out for breaking something and making a mess. I'll surely be out in the streets again by myself.

"Oh my Ezra, are you ok?" Hera said worriedly looking over me and ignoring the mess on the floor. I was really confused now, wasn't she mad about me making a mess? I looked down at the mess making Hera realize what I was thinking. "Ezra," she said softly and I looked her in the eyes with guilt and.....fear. "You're going to be the first thing I worry about and nothing else until I know you're safe," she said.

I didn't notice before until I sniffed that I had tears in my eyes. Why was I this sad if I disappointed Hera? Was it because I thought she was going to make me live alone again? I didn't know and my mind was mashed. I was snapped out of my trance when a warm hand cupped the side of my face. I froze and then felt Hera's thumb wipe a lone tear falling down my face. She gave me a hug and whispered into my ear, "We will never get rid of you, you're to special to be forgotten and shouldn't have been treated the way that you had".

Then the last thing she whispered to me was, "You are not alone anymore and we both loved you since yesterday. I love you, Ezra". I was lucky to have people like Kanan and Hera. They did care and made me feel nothing like an Emile. They were different from everyone, they are loving, forgiving, and amazing. I laid my head on her chest and let my tears fall. Hera brushed her fingers through my hair soothingly and helped calm me down.

Hera pulled back from the hug and smiled sadly. "How about we clean this mess up and finish making breakfast,"she said and I nodded smiling.

We cleaned the mess up and finished making breakfast. Kanan came downstairs and was surprised to see me in the kitchen. "Ezra helped me make breakfast," Hera said. "Really?" He said impressed and looked at me with a smile. "Is this true?" Kanan asked. I smiled and nodded childishly making them both laugh some. "Alright, you boys can get your plates," Hera said.

Kanan made a plate and so did Hera. I copied what they did with some help then we all sat down eating. We the food hit my mouth, my eyes lit up and savored the amazing taste of the food. After we were done, Hera had us put the dishes in the sink. "Do you two want to walk around?" Kanan asked. "Sure, it sounds like fun," Hera said and looked towards me, "Do you want to Ezra?". I nodded my head yes.

I always loved going on walks everywhere, except the wealthy side. But this time I would get to see new things around here. "But first, we need to get you new clothes," Kanan said. I looked down at the baggy shirt and sweatpants. Then I realized something, who switched my clothes? I looked at both of them with a questionable look and pointed to the clothes.

I first looked at Kanan, who was confused by my motions. Then I saw Hera give a sheepish look. I gave her a stare wanting an explanation. "You had a fever and it would have gotten worse if I left you in your wet clothes," Hera explained. I nodded my head understanding and thanked her by smiling.

"We'll go shopping later and have a nice walk now," Kanan reasoned. "Sounds good love," Hera agreed. The three of were getting ready. I was borrowing some of Kanan's old shoes. We stood at the front door. "Ready boys," Hera asked. "Yep," Kanan replied and I nodded. Once that was said, Kanan opened the front door.........
