Lunch

*Lin's POV*

Phillipa held Sebastian, and I held her free hand as we walked back to my apartment. I loved spending time with her, everything about her just makes me feel warm and bubbly.

We soon arrived back to my apartment and Sebastian starts crying. I go to tend to him, but I see Pippa gently rocking him and trying to calm him down. "I got him, don't worry about it. Just go make lunch and I'll take care of him." She said with a smile.

I smiled and walked into the kitchen to see what I could make. I looked through the cupboards and found some Mac and Cheese. "Pip, is Mac and cheese good? We're a little low on food." I said laughing. She turned to me and nodded "yeah that's fine!" She said with a smile.

As I was making it, I saw that Pippa and Sebastian were sitting on the couch, and watching some cartoons. Sebastian was giggling and laughing, but he wasn't watching the cartoons, he was watching Pippa make faces at him. I smiled at the sight then looked back at the food.

"Alright, it's ready! Could you set Seb in his high chair?" I asked as I was putting the food in bowls and getting spoons. Pip nodded and set him in his chair then she took a seat next to him.

After we ate, it was time for Sebastian to take a nap. I picked him up and walked to his room as Pippa followed. As I set him down, I heard him sleepily say "mama!" As he reached for Pippa.

Pippa looked at me and wasn't sure what to do. I looked at her and then down to him. "Alright time for a nap, Bubba" I said and tucked him in.

Pippa and I walk back into the living room and sit down. "I'm sorry, I just didn't know what to do..." she looking at me. I took her hand and smiled "no, it's okay. He probably doesn't understand what's happened." I say gently rubbing her hand with my thumb.

"So, um, tell me about what you're working on!" She said happily. I smiled "well, it's about Alexander Hamilton, but it's gonna be a musical, and I guess that's all I really have so far!" I said laughing. She smiled and nodded "sounds pretty cool to me" she said.

After a while of aimlessly flipping through channels, she moved closer to me and looked at me. "Lin?" She asked quietly. "Yes?" I asked as I placed my arm around her. "C-can I ask you something?" She asked, suddenly becoming shy.

I nodded, wanting her to proceed. "Lin, how do you feel about me? Because I've always kinda felt something about you, but I- I guess I was afraid to ask or act on it..." she said looking down, and fiddling with her thumbs.

In that moment, I felt my heart skip a beat, a sudden surge of warmth filled my body and I started to blush.

"Pippa. I adore you. I always have and always will. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel anything. Because the truth is, I have the biggest crush on you."

She smiled and giggled as she looked up at me. "So, what does this mean?" She asked as she laid her head on my shoulder.

"Well.." I said resting my head on her head, "would you like to be my girlfriend?" I asked, hoping for the response I wanted.

"Girlfriend? Hm... I like the sound of that!" She said and smiled. I smiled and gave her a tight squeeze.

I couldn't believe it! Phillipa Soo is my girlfriend! I was ecstatic.

"Oh! Lin?" She said looking up at me, with those beautiful brown eyes of hers. "Yes?" I asked looking into her eyes. "Would you mind if I.. um.. maybe moved in?" I looked at her and smiled. "Absolutely, I wouldn't want anything else."

She smiled and we hugged.

My life was exactly where I wanted it.
