*Narrative POV*
Lin and Pippa have been in a happy, healthy, relationship for just about a year now.
Things were going great for the both of them. They had good health, their Broadway show was a smash hit, and completely sold out for a few years, they were happy, successful, and the image of a happy life.
Lin thought long and hard about asking the big question. He talked to his parents about it, his closest friends, and he even asked Pippa's parents.
He really cared about her and would do anything for her, as long as it ensured her happiness.
Pippa had been going out a lot lately with Renée and Jasmine, they insisted that the Schuyler Sisters needed some girl time at least 3 times a week, not including the time they spent together doing shows.
Lin had called Pippa's father. He wasn't going to wait anymore. He asked her father for his blessing, and to his surprise he got it.
*a week later*
Sebastian and Lin headed out to the iconic Tiffany's to get the engagement ring for Pippa.
"Okay, you gotta help me pick out a ring for Pippa!" Lin said to Sebastian as they entered, and Sebastian was enthralled by all the sparkling jewelry.
*that night*
Lin, Pippa, and Sebastian all went out to dinner. They went to a small yet semi-formal restaurant, it was one of their favorites.
After they ate their dinner and waited for their dessert, Lin got up and acted like he was tying his shoe.
He kneeled down and took Pippa's hand.
"Phillipa Soo.. from the first time i met you, I knew there was something special. I fell completely in love with you, and the time we've spent together has been the best in my entire life. And what I'm trying to say is... will you marry me?" He asked and held open the box.
Pippa was shocked and she started to blush.
"Yes. Yes. Yes." She said and giggled.
Lin got up and placed the ring on her finger before kissing her and spinning her around.
Once Lin set her back down, Pippa looked at him.
"I have something to tell you, actually.." she said and looked up at Lin.
