Coming Together

*Pippa's POV*

It's been roughly 4 weeks since the surgery. Things are going great, I was recovering much better.

The baby is doing well too. I'm so glad that the baby survived the surgery with me. I knew it calmed Lin and it made me happy too.

Lin and Sebastian were out for a father and son day, and our parents had left since I was out of danger. I decided to call Renée.

About an hour later, there was a knock on the door. I open it and greet Renée with open arms. It was so nice to see her again.

We had a nice relaxing day. We sat on the couch, ordered Chinese, watched movies and just talked.

She was able to notice the small bump forming at my abdomen and she couldn't help but smile and gently put her hand on it.

"Do you know how far along you are? By the looks of things, I'd say maybe 3 months?"

I smiled and nodded. "Just three months!"

She smiled. "Have you and Lin thought of any names yet? Does Sebastian know?"

I laughed at Renée's questions, she was so excited for me.

"Haven't thought of names. We decided we'll think of names when we know the gender, Sebastian doesn't know, he thinks I've just been eating lots of donuts lately." I laugh "but I think Lin's telling him today "

We smiled and continued to eat our food.

"How are you feeling?"

"Great! Only some pain every now and then, but other than that, it's like nothing ever happened!"

"That's great Pip! You think you'll be able to do a few more shows for Amélie?"

"Maybe, I still have to wait about a week before I can think of doing shows again, but I hope so"

Renée smiled and rubbed my back.

"It's so good to see you. I've missed you, my sister, so much. How's Jaz and Ant?" I asked, curious about our friends.

"They're actually engaged! It was a beautiful proposal. It happened after a show."

I smiled.

"That's so great. I'm so happy for them. I'll be sure to congratulate them next time we talk!"

She smiled.

We finished our food and looked at each other. "What next?" I said with a laugh.

"Hmm.. let's talk about motherhood!"

"You know, Pip, this place is kinda small... you guys need a bigger place.."

I bit my lip and thought. "You're right, it is kinda small..."

"Your New York apartment is bigger, why not move back? Amélie is being fast tracked to Broadway, isn't it?"

I nodded.

"Then, move back! You guys won't need to worry about room, and plus, all your friends are there" Renée said with a smile.

She was right. We needed the room, and New York was home..

"I'll talk to Lin about it when he gets back."

I smiled and thought to myself.

I never really wanted to stay in California permanently, it was just temporary.

There was no real reason keeping us here. Amélie was Broadway bound, friends and family were there, or suited our family better.

I turn around after hearing the door unlock and see Lin and Sebastian come in.

I give Renée a hug as she leaves and I guide Lin to the couch.

"We need to talk..."
