Ace's POV
"Come on," her sweet voice whispers.
"You know I need to leave soon." I respond.
"A few more minutes won't hurt will it?"
"I guess not," I smile.
"Well, come on then." She smiles and leads me upstairs. She opens the door to her bedroom. A guy is standing by the window and turns around with a smile on his face.
"Did you finally get up here, babe? I thought you might have changed your mind. Who's this?"
"No one. He's no one at all."
I jerk my hand away from hers. "We are through."
I jolt awake and rub my face. I glance at my clock. 5:21 AM. I stand up and quietly make my way down to the kitchen. I grab a bottle of water and gulp half of it down.
If only my ex didn't haunt my dreams.
》THE BAD BOY'S BAND《
Someone pokes me. "Are you dead?"
"No," I mutter with my head down on the desk.
"What was that?"
I sit up in my seat. "I said no."
"That's good. We need you in the band," Jaxon says.
My lips twitch up in a small smile.
"At least we have lunch next."
I nod. "I'm hungry and sleepy."
"Were you up with Sophie?" He smirks.
I shake my head and the bell rings. I grab my books and walk out of the classroom. Less than a minute later, I am putting my books up. Someone slams my locker shut and guess who it was. Sophie. Sophie slammed my locker shut. Not even surprised.
"Hello," she states.
"Hey."
"Can I eat lunch with you guys?"
"Uh sure."
She nods her head. Today she has on a grey tshirt, yoga pants, and flipflops. "Ace, you have to show me where you sit."
"Oh crap. Sorry." I am an idiot. I walk towards the cafeteria. I just stared at her. I probably looked ridiculous. Ughh. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I am stupid. I lead the way to the table my friends and I usually sit at. I sit down and she sits across from me.
"What are you eating for lunch?" She asks as she digs through her lunch box.
"Nothing."
She stops and looks up at me. "Why not?"
"I didn't have time to grab my lunch and I don't know my number to buy lunch."
She digs through her lunch box again and hands me 3 items of food.
"I can't take your food."
"One, my dad packs me way too much and I can't eat it all. Two, I don't offer most people my food so you should be honored to be touching my food. And three, if you don't take it I will force you to eat it." She gives me one of those 'I dare you to say no' faces.
I take the food, tear the first item open, and take a bite.
"That's what I thought."
"What did we miss? I feel like it was important." Michael says and sits a seat down from Sophie.
She shrugs. "Not really," I say and take another bite of whatever this is.
Hunter sits beside of Sophie. "So have you came up with any songs for us?"
"I have," she nods. "But I need to know what kind of songs you guys want to do."
"We could try anything," Michael says.
"Even a love song?" She questions.
"No," I state.
"What about sad songs?"
"Ehh. Not really." Jaxon says.
"Okay. Some artists and bands you could do would be Fall Out Boy, Jack & Jack, and Chris Brown. There are a lot of other people you guys could do, but they mostly sing love songs and stuff like that."
"That will probably keep us busy for awhile," Hunter says. "You should pick some songs to do with us."
"Well I have one in mind, but you guys probably wouldn't want to do it." She says shyly.
"What is it?" I ask.
"It's called Roll 'Em Up by Ali Simpson and Jack & Jack are in it. One of you would have to rap."
"Hunter is a really good rapper," I tell her.
"Pff," he scoffs. "I don't know what you are talking about. I think Michael is."
"Fine. Just forget about it then." Sophie says and throws her trash away.
Hunter frowns and they stare at each other. "Alright fine! I'll do it," he sighs.
"Nice," she smiles. "You are singing," she says and points her finger at me.
"Okay." I'd rather not have her start planning a way to kill me.
》THE BAD BOY'S BAND《
"We should have a party this weekend," Jaxon says as we walk up to my house.
"It's been awhile hasn't it?"
"Yeah," he nods. "You should invite Sophie."
"Do you think she would come?"
"You will never know if you never ask."
"I'll ask her tomorrow."
"Or now. She just came outside."
I glance over and sure enough there she was. A car pulls up and she runs to it. A guy around 20 gets out and she launches herself onto him. He spins her around and I look away. I rush into the house and up to my room. I should have known she has a boyfriend.
Jaxon walks into my room. "Why didn't you ask Sophie?"
"I didn't want to ruin her moment with her boyfriend," I snap at him.
He raises an eyebrow. "I'll go ruin it." He says and walks out. I groan and run a hand through my hair. I rush after him and I get outside just in time to see him call for Sophie to come over here. They both walk over towards us. Crap. This isn't going to turn out good. How did I even get in this situation?
"I have a question Sophie," Jaxon says.
"Okay. What is it?"
"Is he your boyfriend?" He asks and points to the guy beside her.
She stares at him and blinks twice. Then she cringes and pushes him away. "No! Eww! Never in my life ever! He's my older brother!" She gags. "Oh gosh. I might throw up."
"Okay, thanks for answering my question. I think Ace has a question too though."
My eyes widen. "Uh, well. I-it can wait. Bye Sophie." I walk back inside and as soon as Jaxon shuts the door, I smack him. "Why did you do that!?"
"You wanted to know so I asked for you." He rubs his head.
I sigh and run a hand through my hair.
"I know you like her."
I freeze.
"You haven't liked any one since you know who."
I stare at the floor.
"I think she'll be good for you."
"But will I be good for her?" I look back at him.
"You'll have to find that out on your own."
I nod. Sophie Green one day you will be mine.
