Ace's POV
I can't believe I'm doing this. Never in my life would I believe someone if they told me I would wear a mud mask for a girl I wasn't even dating. But here I am looking like a green alien from outer space.
One thing I didn't except to happen was the guys walking in while I look like an alien. The first thing they did was laugh. The second thing they did was point at me. The last thing they did was hold their stomachs from laughing so much.
"Why do you look like you are trying to be an avocado?" Jaxon asks.
I glare at them. "I can't say no to her!" I throw my hands up frustratedly and point to the girl sitting beside me.
"If I actually had some friends that are girls, I wouldn't have asked you." She says.
"I just can't believe he actually did it."
"Yeah. What would the people at school think? Ace is supposed to be the bad boy."
"Not around me. He is a sweetie pie."
"Sophie, please do not call me sweetie pie," I groan.

"Where's Michael?" Hunter asks.
I shrug and glance around for him. To be honest, I didn't notice he wasn't here.
"Yeah, where is he?" Sophie adds.
"I don't know."
"Is that him?" Jaxon asks. "With the bully group?"
I glance over to where Jaxon is staring and see Michael right in the middle of the bully group.
"Why is he over there?" Hunter asks.
"I have no idea."

From the time we noticed Michael wasn't in our group until school ended, the whispers grew louder and stares were more noticeable.
"Did you hear what he is saying about you?" Jaxon asks once we are outside and in front of my mom's car.
"No. I didn't care enough to ask."
"He is telling everyone that you are going soft and aren't such a bad boy as most people think."
I shake my head. "He can talk all he wants, but he won't get any where in life talking like he is."
"What is his problem any way? He seems to be different or somewhat off."
"He is jealous."
"What?"
"He wants Sophie," I state and see Sophie walking towards me.
"Ace! I'm so happy to see you." She wraps her arms around me and I do the same to her. I rest my chin on the top of her head.
"Hey, Soph. How are you doing?"
"To be honest, I'm upset."
"You ready to go home?"
"Do you have ice cream at your house?"
"There should be, yes."
"Let's go. Bye, Jaxon. Try to find Hunter, I haven't seen him since lunch."
"Will do. Bye guys."
We get inside my mom's car and I start driving towards my house.
"Are you going to do anything about Michael?"
"Wasn't planning on it."
"Why not?"
"Michael has always been different than us, but he was still apart of the group and band. He hasn't exactly liked me recently. Maybe this is for the better."
"You can't just give up on him, Ace. He is your friend."
"I'm not giving up on him, Sophie. I can't make him or anyone else do anything."
She sighs. "If he says one more thing bad about you or anyone else, I will do something about and no one will stop me." She states and gets out of the car since I was parked in my driveway.
She starts walking in the direction of her house and I run after her. "Sophie, wait!" I grab her arm gently and spin her around.
"Look, I'll talk to him tomorrow. Michael and I just aren't how we used to be, but I will try to talk some sense in him. Okay?"
"Okay," she smiles. "I'm going to take a nap. Talk to you later and if I don't, I will see you tomorrow." She kisses my cheek and heads towards her house again, only this time with a spring in her step.
I reach up to the cheek she kissed and grin. I fist pump the air. She kissed me! Again!
