Ace's POV
Where in the world did Hunter get a turtle?
I shove my hands in my front jean pockets and look at the little interrupter.
"What's his name?" Sophie asks as she gazes at it.
"I don't know. I haven't came up with a name yet. I found in my driveway this morning." Hunter explains and I roll my eyes.
"He needs a name," Sophie states.
"How do you know it's a boy?" Jaxon questions.
Hunter's face scrunches up in disgust and a yellow liquid runs off of his hand. I burst out laughing at the sight.
"That's how," Sophie says and backs up a few steps.
"Oh yeah?" Hunter says and switches hands that he is hold in the turtle in. He shakes the one with turtle pee on it and all of us except Hunter runs away from him. Sophie squeals and runs in my house. Hunter just laughs at us.
"Keep your turtle! I don't want it any more!" Sophie exclaims as she peeps out of the door and then shuts it again.
Hunter just laughs even more.
"Hey, Hunter. Only a person without turtle pee on their hand can have the last laugh." I throw my head back and laugh then hurry inside before he tries to throw some of it on me. I lock the door so he can't come in and the rest of the guys leave.
"Sophie?" I call out and glance around the house for her.
I see her half way up the stairs to my room with her arms filled with food and she gives me a deer in headlights look. "Yes?"
"What are you doing?"
"Um.. I got us some snacks while we watch a movie." She answers.
"Okay. Do you need some help carrying those snacks?"
"No, I got this." She says and starts walking up the stairs. She trips and lets go of all the food, some of it rolling all the way down to the floor below the stairs. "Maybe, I could use some help." She admits and her cheeks flame a bright red.
"Are you okay?" I ask walking up the stairs to where she is standing.
"Yeah, I think so."
"Just in case," I start to say and then pick her up.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm carrying you to my room." Wow. That did not sound right.
"What about the food?"
"I'll come back for the food."
"Okay."
I set her down on my bed and quickly go pick up all the food. I throw all of it down on the bed.
"What movie are we going to watch?" She asks as she opens a bag of chips.
"I don't know. What movie do you want to watch?"
"What do you have?"
"All of the Harry Potter series, all of the Avengers movies-."
"The first Avengers movie. Let's do that one."
"Okay." I put the movie in my TV and sit down on my bed next to Sophie.
"Could you go get me something to drink?" She asks.
"Yeah. What do you want?"
"Pepsi please."
I run downstairs and grab 2 Pepsis then run back up to my room. "Here you go," I say and hand her a Pepsi.
"Thanks."
Half way through the movie I decide to be cliche. I yawn and stretch my arms then put one of them around Sophie. She glances at my arm and then me.
"You better not distract me from this movie," she states.
"I won't." She looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "I promise."
She turns her attention back to the movie. A few minutes later, i rub her arm with the tips of my fingers. She shivers and crosses her arms. I keep rubbing her arm until she elbows me. "Stop doing that. I can't concentrate on the movie."
"I'm not doing anything."
She glares at me. "Yes, you are!"
"Okay. Fine. I'll keep my hands to myself." That didn't sound right either.
I waited what I thought was 10 minutes. I leaned in close to her ear. "Kiss me if I'm wrong, but this movie is about Spiderman right?"
"Ace!" Sophie groans.
"What?"
She just looks at me.
"Go on a date with me."
"Will you let me finish this movie and not distract me while I watch it if I say yes?"
"Yes."
"Then yes."
