Ace's POV
I jump out of my car and run into the house.
"Hey, Ace. I just made dinner. Are you ready to eat?" Mom says and I stop.
"Yeah, I'll be down in a minute. I have to do something first." I tell her and hurry up to my room.
"Okay."
I grab my notebook once I am in my room and start reading her note.
Ace,
If you don't know this is Sophie who is writing. I have never wrote to someone before, but I feel like I need to write to you. I have never felt like this before. I thought I just had a stupid crush on you and it would go away. It hasn't went away and I don't know if it will or not.I tried to tell myself that I was making the whole thing up, but I don't think I could ever make this up.
If I could have just one wish, I would wish to wake up everyday to the sound of your breath on my neck, the warmth of your lips on my cheek, the touch of your fingers on my skin, and the feel of your heart beating with mine ... Knowing that I could never find that feeling with anyone other than you.
That wish won't come true though. Ace, someone hurts me and I can't let you get hurt too. I wish things could be different. If he wasn't here, then we could be something.
Every girl wants 3 words to be spoken to her and actually have meaning to them. I feel those 3 words towards you. I'm probably crazy for thinking them, for feeling them, but I can't help it.
There is so much more I want to say, but I need to go to my house and you could wake up any moment.
Sophie
P.S. - You look cute while you are sleeping and any other time.
I reread the note multiply times until my legs give out and I sit on the floor. Tears slowly leak out and run down my cheeks like a leaky faucet that never stops dripping.
I could have asked her out sooner. I could have told her how I felt. I could have done something. No. I can still do something. I will not give up. I will talk to her. I don't care if I get hurt. I will make sure the other guy looks worse than me at the end of the fight.
I look up, wiping my tears. Max stares at me with his big eyes. I smile and rub his head. "It's okay, Max. I'll be alright. Let's go eat." I tell him and stand up to head downstairs.
》THE BAD BOY'S BAND《
"She's really gone?" Hunter asks as we are in my garage.
I shake my head.
"She quit the band, Hunter. What do you think?" Jaxon replies.
Tears come to Hunter's eyes and he puts his head down.
"I'll get her back." I state with my arms crossed.
"Ace," Jaxon says in a warning voice.
I snap my eyes to him and glare at him. "I will get her back."
"So, what's the plan?" Micheal questions looking at me.
"After school one day next week." I state. "Until then, I have some practicing to do."
"What song? One of Fall Out Boy's?" Micheal asks.
"Nope. You guys might not believe this, but I think it is time to bring back the love songs."
"Love songs?" Hunter asks, picking his head up.
"Yeah. Any ideas?"
Hunter grins, wipes a stray tear, and pulls his phone out. "I even have an idea of a dance routine for us to do."
"I can help with that," Micheal says as Jaxon groans.
"Alright, let's get started boys. Mission One: Bring Sophie Back is on a go." I grin and rub my hands together excitedly.
