Sophie's POV

Monday morning came early, too early for me, considering I had school.

I hit the snooze button twice on my alarm before my dad banged on my door until I muttered, "I'm up." I sat up in bed and blankly stared at my wall before I rolled out of my very comfortable and warm bed. I forced my feet to move towards my bathroom to start getting for yet another day at school.

I ate a quick breakfast which was simply a pack of poptarts and a glass of cold 1% milk. Glancing through my closet for something to wear, I decided to wear something comfortable. I changed from my way too short shorts and a t-shirt that I call my pajamas to a blue hoodie and black skinny jeans.

Instead of actually doing something with my hair, I slipped a beanie on my head and convinced myself it looked cute.

I finished getting ready and grabbed my bookbag. Once at the front door, I slipped my blue converse on.

"I have to use the car today. Can you get a ride or ride the bus?" Dad says to me.

"Yeah. I'll find someone to give me a ride." Although this would be the perfect way to stay home and not go to school. I step outside and head over to Ace's house.

I knock politely on the door and hear a lot of shuffling and murmuring come from the other side.

The door opens to reveal a very flustered Ace's mom. "Oh, Sophie!" She sounds extremely relieved. "I'm running late. Ace won't get out of bed and I was just about to pour a bucket of water on him."

"I can wake him up and I'll make sure he gets to school."

"Would you? Thank you so much! I really need to go. Bye, Sophie." She says and kisses my forehead while hugging me. "Thank you again!" The next thing I know she is out the door driving away.

I set my stuff down in the floor and head up to Ace's bedroom that has become very familiar to me. I push his already cracked door open and see him sleeping soundly on his bed.

I check my phone to see what time it is. Okay, it is 7:30. He has at the most 15 minutes to get ready. That should be enough right? We don't have to be at school until 8.

I lay down beside him and he wraps his arm around me. His other arm is under his pillow.

"Ace?" Nothing. "Ace?" Nothing. I move closer to him. "Ace?" Nothing. I put my mouth close to his ear. "Ace?" I whisper and my lips barely graze it.

"Hmm?"

"You need to get up for school."

"Mom?" He groans.

"I sure hope not," I laugh. "She left to go to work."

He opens one eye and smiles at me. "Hey, Sophie."

"Get up." I say and try to get up.

"Stay." He says and tightens his grip around me. He rests his head on my chest.

"Ace, we need to go to school. You can drive me considering I don't have a ride."

"Why don't we just stay here?" He mumbles.

"They will call our parents and tell them we weren't a school."

He groans. "Just for today?"

"No, Ace. Come on. You need to change."

"Fine," he groans and gets up. I sit up and fix my beanie. He has a pair of basketball shorts as pajamas. He grabs sweatpants out of a drawer and lays them on the bed. He starts to take off his shorts and my eyes widen.

"ACE! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?" I exclaim and he nearly jumps out of his skin.

"What?" He asks innocently.

"Go change in the bathroom or at least warn me when your about to take your clothes off."

He just smirks at me and grabs his sweatpants. "Most girls would've just watched maybe even fainted." He says as he walks into his bathroom.

"I'm not most girls!" I shout as he closes the door.

"That's why I like you!" He shouts back and I can't help but blush. He is so sweet.... at least when he keeps his clothes on that is.

He steps out of the bathroom a few minutes later and searches for a shirt to wear. Once he is fully  dressed and ready to go we head down stairs. I grab something quick to eat on the way to school and then we get in his car.

Well, I have had a pretty exciting morning.
