Chapter 11: Island In The Sky?

"An island in the sky?! I wanna go!"

You watched Luffy jump around in excitement at the thought of an island in the sky. You laid you head down on your arms, tail wrapped around your body. Yawning, you went to sleep, letting Nami and Robin decide how to get up to this 'island in the sky'.

"(Y/N)! Wakey wakey!" Luffy nudged you and you shifted, raising your head.

"Luffy! What happened? You're all beat up!"

"Oh, yeah. While you were sleeping, me and Zolo got all beat up by this guy. It's fine though, I let him hit me."

During his explanation, you had begun to furiously lick him, trying to clean him up. "Why are you so stupid sometimes!"

"I dunno, but you love me anyway."

"Yes, I do."

-later-

You sniffed curiously at a children's book that was laying on a tree stump. "Oi. Look what I found."

Sanji looked over your shoulder and smiled. "Hey! I know this story!"

"How?" Nami asked, looking in the book. "It says it's printed in the North Blue."

"Well, I was born there, so..."

You crossed your arms and said, "I don't really care about all that mess. Read it Nami, I want a story."

"I wanna hear it too!" Luffy shouted.

-insert dramatic reading of 'Noland the Liar' here-

"Well, that was dramatic." You stretched and took the book from Nami's hands. "How the heck is this a book for kits?"

Just then, you heard a scream and turned around just in time to see Luffy dragged into the ocean. "Luffy!" You threw the book back at Nami and ran forward, only to be cut off by a man pulling himself from the water.

"Here to steal my gold?"

You tipped your head. "What? Gold? I don't know about that, we just came looking for a man named Cricket."

Before he could say anything else, the man collapsed and Chopper rushed forward. You ran around him and, with the help of Usopp, pulled Luffy out of the water. You licked his hair furiously and he coughed up seawater. "Water makes me feel blah!" You purred and helped Luffy to his feet.

"I know sweetie, but you'll be fine." You three walked back to where the others were and you asked Chopper what was wrong with the guy that had come out of the ocean.

"He's got the bends."

"Uh huh."

Chopper then went on to describe what the bends were, but the only thing you really heard was, "In some cases, the bends can be fatal."

You all moved around in the strange half-house that the man lived in while Chopper did his best to help. Maybe when the guy woke up, he could help your crew in return.
