"Ready to go?" Joe asked as I slipped the second Converse shoe onto my foot.

"Ready," I nodded, following Joe out of the room and towards the car.

After all of this I was finally ready to go home. Well, back to Joe's flat, anyways.

After his walk, Jack had come back following the argument we'd had the other day. We'd both apologized and agreed not to talk about it anymore. We'd spent the last few hours of the evening talking, and I had eventually convinced him to go home and get some sleep in his bed, and that it was a lot better than the loveseat in my room. Eventually he agreed, and went home, promising to come back the next day. And he had, along with breakfast for the two of us, which was nice. He did stay for the day, but then went home again to sleep that night.

"Most of your things are already set up," Joe said as we got into his car. "I had Mikey, Conor, and Caspar help. Conor packed your things up, Mikey drove them, and Caspar and I did the unpacking. I think you'll like the way everything's arranged, but if we need to make any changes, then we can do so."

"I'm sure I'll love it," I told him. "Thank you guys."

"We've just got one more car load to get from the flat," he said, "so we're going to be stopping by. You can see the place where you usually live, and you can meet Conor and Josh."

"Okay," I said as we pulled up outside a swanky looking flat complex.

Joe got out of the car and I followed, hurrying to keep up as he took the stairs two at a time. I wasn't dizzy from the accident anymore, but I was always a lot slower at running and moving around than Joe was.

"Here we are," Joe said, stopping outside of a door and knocking before the door opened, and a man I recognized as Conor opened the door.

"Right on time," Conor said, stepping aside to let us through. "Mel, it's so good to see you awake. I'm Conor, Jack's brother."

"It's nice to meet you... again," I said, smiling nervously and following them inside.

I recognized the entryway from the video I had watched the first night, along with a couple others I'd watched the following nights. I'd started to get used to their overwhelming senses of humor throughout the videos, and began to find some of the things that they had said to be funny. I looked up then to see Jack carrying the last box out of one of the rooms and putting it on a pile with the others.

"Good to see you on your feet," he said with a smile.

"Thank you," I said, glancing down at my feet.

"So here are your boxes," he said, then looked over at the lanky redhead next to him. "This is Josh,"

"Hi Amelie," Josh said, extending a hand, which I shook.

"Yanno, we've got a bit of free time." Joe said. "And the football match is almost on. Jack, why don't you show Mellie around a little bit?"

"Sure, yeah," Jack said. "Come on, I'll take you on a little tour." I followed him into the kitchen. "This is where we do most of our eating, except for when we break out the mini folding tables and eat on the couch to watch TV."

"Do we really do that often?" I asked, and he nodded.

"Oh yes," he said. "Especially on the nights Doctor Who is on."

"Well, I do love Doctor Who," I admitted, following him then into the next room.

"Here's the living room," he said then, "which is where the Doctor Who is watched. Folding tables are in that little closet there. We've got CDs and movies over there and whatnot."

"There's a lot of stuff here," I observed, wandering over to the cabinets.

"Conor prides himself on the music collection," he said, "it's got a little bit of everything. We don't always agree on the same type of music, so there's also stuff you like in here, as well as stuff I like, what Conor likes, and what Josh likes. But for the most part you can pretty much just pick anything at random and we'll all listen to it. As far as the movies, well... we just really like movies.

"Now over here," he said, leading me into the hallway. "There's a bathroom right here, and across the hall from that is Josh's room." he said, gesturing to an open door leading into a room that was a little messy. And then over here we've got Conor's room, his music studio's over here, across from that is your little library and book room, and then our room is down at the end of the hall along with another bathroom."

"What about this room?" I asked, reaching over towards a closed door across the hall from Conor's room, but Jack quickly stopped me.

"No!" he exclaimed, guiding me away from the room. "Sorry. That's just a room we can't go into. It's erm... Josh's office. And he gets angry if we go in it, so we can't do that."

"Okay..." I trailed off, a little confused, but then shaking it off. "You said I had a book room?"

He nodded. "Cmere," I followed him into a room lined with bookshelves, except, of course, for a little desk in the corner, where a computer sat next to a bunch of folders and notebooks. An armchair sat in another corner, in front of some shelves, and a few more reading chairs sat throughout the room. It was a cozy little room, smaller than what the bedrooms looked like, but it was perfect. It was the one thing that gave me a sense of familiarity. "Welcome to your headquarters, and where you spend most of your time."

"It's incredible," I said, wandering through the room and letting my hand wander around the shelf. "There's so many books."

"You do all of your reading either in that chair or in our bed," he said, "and you refuse to work on your book anywhere else but in that desk. It's all right there."

"It's so beautiful," I said, my smile growing, and he couldn't help but smile as well.

"Cmere, let me show you our room." he said, and I nodded, casting one more glance back at the room before shutting the light and following him next door.

The bedroom was simple, a little simpler than what I guessed it was normally like since all of my stuff was gone, but it still gave me familiar vibes. So this was the room I slept in every night and woke up in every morning. Possibly this was even the room I had lost my virginity in. So many memories here that I didn't have anymore.

"Here we are," he said, noticing my expression as I looked around.

"I don't remember any of this," I said, a little frustrated.

"Hey, it's okay," he said, taking my hand softly out of habit, and I didn't pull away this time. "You will remember things, it's just going to take some time. And I'll still be here when you do. I'm always going to be here for you. Amelie can I hug you?"

I nodded and he pulled me close into his arms, rubbing my back. It felt nice, but not familiar like I was positive it used to.

And maybe it would never feel familiar again.
