Bree crossed her arms. "I don't get you. She's my best friend! She wasn't going to hurt you or me!"
"I don't know that. You don't know that." I looked away from Bree. I heard her sigh as she leaned against the wall, which made me sigh. "If you have a problem with the way I run things... you can leave."
"Ugh." Peter placed a hand on his chest. "Are you just going to let him say that to you, Bree? I know he's our Alpha, but you're a strong, independent girl."
She huffed. "You know what, Derek? When you're ready to talk to me again, you can find me. And Peter, thanks."
I closed my eyes as she stormed out of the room. Peter looked at me, and I rolled my eyes opening them as I heard the door slam.
"What did you do, Derek?"
My brows crashed together. "It's not my fault."
"Have I taught you nothing? You never blame a lady, especially a beautiful one." Peter sat in the chair across from me. "Is it that whole Little Red Riding Hood thing?"
"Red Hood."
"Whatever." Peter rolled his eyes. "The hunter with the red hood. If that's what you two were arguing about for a whole hour, she said she cleared it up. I heard her. What more could she tell you? They've been apart for years."
I turned my glare to him.
"Come on, Derek. That Red Hood chick is her best friend."
"And she's a hunter."
"Who Bree trusts."
"But what else is she hiding?" I fully faced him. "What if there's something she's not telling us?"
"Is that what this is about?" Peter rolled his eyes as he sat back. "Derek, I can't believe--"
"We know nothing about her Alpha. He could be coming here just for her. She said he was a territorial son of a bitch. How do we know he's not on his way?"
"Derek." Peter shook his head. "She probably doesn't know either."
I lowered my eyes and slowly nodded. "Then what should we do?"
Peter looked his gaze with mine. "Have a plan in case he does come for your girlfriend."

"Thank you, Stiles." Bree smiled as she sat on Stiles's bed.
Stiles laughed nervously and handed Bree a blanket. "No problem. You sure you're okay? Or, at least, you know you will be okay?"
She smiled and nodded. "I have a feeling Derek will know he's wrong."
Stiles paused. "Right well uh, I--"
I quickly ran to the door and saw Lydia ringing the door bell. I ran back to the window and slid in.
Bree let out a small laugh. I crossed my arms and stared at her. She turned to me and froze.
I smiled faintly. "I was wrong. You told me everything you could, and I was wrong to push you to tell me what you couldn't." I bent down to her. "But I like to know what I'm up against." I grinned. "You should tell me what you can about your horrible boyfriend."
Bree grinned. "The sexy one I'm dating or the one I left two years ago?"
I grinned widely and kissed her lips gently. She wrapped her arms around me. I pressed my forehead against hers. "I'm sorry."
"I know." She closed her eyes and cupped my face. "Apology accepted."
I kissed her lips gently. I felt her remove my leather jacket as I kissed her again. I kissed her neck as her fingers lined the back of my neck. I lied her onto Stiles's bed and kissed her as I spread my legs and kissed her lips.
"Derek, wait."
I closed my eyes as I took a whiff of her neck. "What?"
"This is Stiles's bed."
I paused and slowly grinned. "So?"
Bree's brows furrowed. "Isn't he coming back?"
"I heard him yell at Lydia. She yelled at him to go with her somewhere." I kissed her forehead. "And I asked him. He said it was okay to make out on his bed."
"He did?"
I let out a small laugh. "Don't worry about it." I took off my shirt to distract her. She froze as her hand slowly traced down my chest. I held her hand and kissed it. "I just want you to know I'm sorry, and I'll never treat you that way again." I kissed her forehead and kissed her lips repeatedly.
Her hands gently clawed my back as I kissed her neck.
I pulled back and locked my gaze with hers. I smiled and kissed her cheek. "I will protect you, not because you're in my pack. I love you, Bree."
Bree smiled gently. "I love you too, Derek."
(Stiles's POV)
I smiled as I entered my home and walked to kitchen, remembering that Bree was upstairs. I happily grabbed the doughnuts and ran up to my room. I took a deep breath, knocked, and opened the door. My shoulders fell as I noticed my empty room.
"Bree?" I looked around. "Bree?" I walked to the window, noticing it was open, and looked out. There wasn't a sign of her anywhere.
I turned to my bed, noticing it was a mess. I blinked several times as I noticed a small sticky note on the bed.
"Thanks for the bed
--Derek."
My mouth was agape as I dropped my doughnuts and stepped back. "Oh god!" I ran to the bath room and threw up. "Oh god, why!?!"
