Recap

"Oh my gosh Vic, I am so sorry-"

She tried to finish her sentence of apology but she was cut off by the sound of a slamming door behind us.

I freaked out, as I didn't want anyone to know that I snuck in a blade, they could take it off of me. And I wouldn't know what to do when that happens. It was 100% clear that I had self-harmed, and I knew I was in deep shit. My heart beat accelerated, and panic rose in my body. I turned around to see that Kayleigh stood right in front of the door that I was eavesdropping in on, her face was red and puffy, as it looked like she had been crying. Her mouth hung slightly open, as she looked between my arm and Shayla's hand before gaining up the courage to speak. Why she had to speak we'll never know.

"Vic, are you alright?" She said, as she walked closer to me. Her eyes filled with more tears and her hands trembled as she reached out to grab my arm. I didn't want to reply to her question, nor did I want to move so I just stood still looking at the floor. I winced as a stinging sensation ran up my arm from the cold hospital air on my cut that I previously made. The bandage that I had put on it had fallen off and slung low around my wrist exposing the extremely deep wound.

"I know you'll hate me for saying this," she said. Not that I already don't hate you, "but you have to get this checked out." I turned to Shayla and she was nodding her head in agreeance to what Kayleigh said, but I breathed out a quick "fuck no" before snatching my wrist out of Kayleigh's grasp, and pulling down my sleeve.

"Well at least let me clean it up properly, and stitch it. I promise I won't tell anyone, if you don't want me to of course." She added after I made the rude reply to her question. I thought about the doctors finding out, and that helped me make a quick decision into letting Kayleigh do it instead. "Fine. You can do it." I huffed in annoyance, and started walking away to my room, with nothing but a small smile to Shayla as she walked off into the other direction. I heard Kayleigh's steps behind me, which made me quicken my pace.

We returned to my room, with only a short stop to a medical room with all the necessities for my wound. Kayleigh wasn't really ment to be in there, so we had to hurry so we didn't get caught. I took a seat in my bed -As usual- and waited for Kayleigh to get some water from my bathroom. She bought out a small bowl of salty water,an anaesthetic needle, a needle and stitches, a bandage and a dressing for over the top. She sat in her usual spot, and pulled out a cotton ball, dipped it into the water and dabbed it on my would to clean out any bacteria. After she had completed that she shot the anaesthetic needle into my arm so I lost all feeling for when she started stitching up the cut.

After she had finished stitching it, she dressed it before declaring she had finished.

"How did you do that so well?" I asked, before I could stop myself. But I was generally confused as to how she knew how to do everything so perfectly.

"Practice." She simply stated as she put everything in the small bin in the corner, "now. I really don't want to do this but it's for your own good. You may not seem to think so now, but you will later. Could you please give me all your blades?"

Hell no. This is why I hate her. She is so self centred. Trying to take my damn blades away from me ! She didn't know how much I rely on them. They're like a drug to me, even if I try to give them up I will go insane. Literally.
