Vic's POV

.

That night I went over to Kayleigh's room because I couldn't sleep. I didn't really want to go to sleep either, since I was afraid of hearing bad news as soon as I woke up. We didn't really  talk at all, because she was extremely tired, so I just sat in the corner on a small chair and read through some of the books she had. I refused to look over at her while she slept, I wanted to,  but I couldn't let myself do it for some reason. She didn't snore, but she did toss and turn a lot which made me wake her up a few times. She insisted it was because she was scared of Coby dying and that it happens a lot, but I knew it before she even told me.

My arse never left the chair I was sat on after the final time I had to wake Kayleigh up. I didn't go to sleep, but I had bought my iPod so I listened to music all night while browsing through her book collection. From what I can see all she did was read, her book shelf was over flowing as well as the piles of them in boxes next to her bed and near her drawers. Most of them were old poetry and novels written by 17th-20th century authors. I assumed she likes the old stuff better than the new stuff.

By the time morning rolled around, I had gone through all the books, counted them all (a total of 379 or 379.5 if you count Great Expectations By Charles Dickens because that was torn in two with the other half missing) and made a small note on my iPod about which ones I needed to read.                    I rubbed my eyes, feeling only the smallest bit tired and yawned whist stretching my arms out. Kayleigh hadn't woken either, so I couldn't do anything else but wait patiently for her to hurry the fuck up and come back to reality. But I guess I liked the quiet, so I just sat there waiting.

"Finally! Jesus Christ, you sleep like a hibernating bear. Okay get up now, we have so much to do and so little time," I said as I ripped the blanket off her, and silently hoping she was wearing pants.

"Good morning Kayleigh, oh hi Vic goodmorning, oh yes how are you? I'm good, thanks for asking." I could just hear the sarcasm dripping through her voice, as she hopped out of bed with pants on thank god. I silently laughed at the way I was acting, and plastered a huge grin on my face.

"Lets go! We have a huge day ahead of us!" I said in excitement. I guess I was feeling good today.

"What are we doing?" She mumbled while rubbing her eyes, and walking over to her drawers to get some clothes.
