Kayleigh's POV

Vic and I ate dinner together on the couch, and I'm not going to lie, it was really nice. Sitting there watching TV and doing nothing but eating spaghetti Bolognese and thinking. Well, I am not sure about Vic, but I was thinking really hard. I was trying to figure out a good conversation starter, and something to say after I bought up the drugs I found. Now, I didn't want to be full on and go, "Oi, ya druggo I found some weed in ya bed and by weed I don't mean Janice." But I didn't want to sit him down and talk to him like a toddler on his first day of kindergarten, while I held out finger puppets of marijuana leaves. Although it sounded like a great idea, I don't think Vic would appreciate that. I had no idea what to do. At all. And I know it's silly to be fussing over a bit of marijuana and some cigarettes, but I know Janice. And I know that she started using marijuana, and I didn't do anything about it and it got to the point where now she's using acid and things like that. And now that Vic is doing that with Janice has got me scared that he's going to be picking up bad habits from her. It hasn't happened yet, I hope.

I took a deep breath as I put my bowel down on the coffee table, ready to confront Vic about it. Thinking about Janice really gave me the motivation to cut the crap and do what I need to. That was until I heard a knock at the door.

You have to be kidding me.

"I'll get it", I said, sighing that I missed the chance to talk while I had the motivation to do so. I got up from the couch, and took the bowls with me while I was up and put them on the kitchen bench. I opened the door, wondering who would be at the door at 7:30pm, and prayed it wasn't a murderer. But it was probably Janice with another boy.

I looked at who it was with a smile, and hey, I was close.

It was Janice's mother and father.

"Hey Mr and Mrs Perlet, how are you this evening?" I asked a little confused at why they were here. Especially at this time of night. They might just want to pop in and say hi or something.

"We're good dear" Mrs Perlet smiled at me, her white teeth shining underneath the porch light and her bob bounced while she nodded her head. Mrs Perlet was a very nice lady, might I say. And she baked really nice chocolate cookies, so I really loved going to her house.

"What could I do for you?" I asked in the nicest tone I could without giving away my growing confusion.

"Janice hasn't been answering our calls lately, so I was wondering if we could speak to her." Mrs Perlet said.

Now, Mrs Perlet was pretty much Janice's twin. They looked the same, all except the hair and of course the wrinkles that Mrs Perlet had gotten in the past few years. But it was terrifying, because I have called her Janice so many times and it gets a little embarrassing after a while.

"I'm sorry, but Janice isn't here. She is at a party I think." I replied, hoping not to disappoint them.

"Then why are you here?" Mr Perlet spoke up. He was being a bit rude, which was quite unuasual because he was a very posh man, to say the least. The whole Perlet family was posh. Except Janice. She hasn't got a posh bone left in her body.

"I'm temporarily living here with my friend-" I was cut off by Vic.

"Who's at the door, Kay?" He said, walking up behind me, obviously curious.
